Subject: Old Wedding Photo....

I went to visit my parents this week, 1200 mile round trip in 24 hours, good old easyjet. My mum found an old photo of my grandparents wedding day from 1929. My great-grandfather is the one on the far right. I just think this picture is great and had to share it. Not sure about the sepia, might try to correct to black and white later. Please enjoy, and just look at the clothing, fantastic. Steve

If this is how the original looks I like seeing that they had that sepia tone so orange. I always tend to saturate the reddish orange out closer to grey. Most of my real old photos are not this tone.But some are on tin and I guess that made the difference. I hope you will not mind me showing you the colour most I see are with this image. I really like these old photos. Even if I do not know who is in them it is the beginning.

Oh this is wicked!! Totally fascinating!!! Old photographs are such a treasure!!! U're very lucky to have that one!!! And a very good one at that!! I'm impressed at the quality of the grain!! Thx u for sharing this 'lil piece of history!!!

I actually prefer the sepia, although perhaps not quite that red. Because of the fabrics in the photo, the sepia tone gives the silks more of a glow as well as a sense of the slightly cloarser/nubbier texture of the suits. It is interesting that the younger gentlemen are wearing cuffed trousers.
