Subject: Witchblade style armor???

Hey guys! Can anyone give me some tips on how to create/ draw Witchblade style armor? I've been working on an alien character of mine but he's not turning out too well. Looks like a ninja with blades popping out everywhere... Choooou sumaranai.. So I'm looking to give him a more deadly and "alien" look but whenever I try to create the armor, it looks like... "blahhhh" so I gotta start over again. Need something that looks unbreakable yet organic in nature... Kinda hard to do... Any tips for alien or monster creation? I'd really appreciate it!

Over at RunTime DNA, Traveler has a product called "Victoria Bone Armor", which you might find interesting.

Nerd's "Syrinx" and "Morgana" outfits, in the stores at Animotions and Renderotica, have a particularly organic, Witchbladey appearance.

Also, esmith6996 has a couple of products here in the Marketplace that were clearly inspired by the Witchblade comic.

Check out some of the skin texture by "DarkWingZero". Many of them have a real witchblade type look to them.

There's an old Wyrmmaster freebie called Bladewoman in Animotions freebie section. P4 female based though :(
