Banda Press International is a new publishing company. Currently our focus is on bringing the best in short fiction to readers everywhere. Our research has uncovered a market where long novelettes and short novellas have the potential to be featured products. A novelette is between 7,500 and 17,500 words and a novella is between 17,500 and 40,000 words. (We are now accepting manuscripts from 12,000 to 35,000 words). Each manuscript we accept will not be printed as a collection of short stories, but as an individual book. From front to back cover, these short novels will be stand alone products that will sell themselves. As we expand and grow so will our focus. We look forward to receiving full-size novels and childrens books in the future.

Obviously you take a risk when you send to a new publisher...but this one might be worth watching.

Hmm, maybe Max Mann has found a home. I am working on #4 and have #s 5 and 6 roughly outlined. I pretty much write them for the fun of it, but if someone's looking for novellas, what the heck. I will check them out. Thanks for the tip. jon

I'm not ready for publishing yet. I have a teensy, tiny bit of EDITING to do yet. LOL. I've just started and already I'm re-writing the intro completely. Sigh. I called my journal "Enslaver of the Muse." Maybe it's the other way around......I'm keeping the info. Thanks a bunch. Dsynr

There is an amusing book on writing called "Fondling the Muse." Maybe you're on to something!!
