I would be mighty proud to have all of those in my gallery to be honest. Not that fond of the first one, but i love the rest. Especially nr. 3, 5 and 8....those chains...wow! And mist...of course...but the web...ooooh the web!! I remember this one and i cant believe you havent posted it yet. SHAME ON YOU GOOD SIR!!!!
How come we say 'It's colder than hell outside' when
isn't it realistically always colder than hell since hell is
supposed to be fire and brimstone?

Strange how things you find don't cut the mustard are ones I'd love to have in my gallery. That lock and chain (#3) is a beautiful abstract...and that train track view is really spectacular (#2). Too typical? Not in my book. The only ones I might leave out are 1, 6 and 7. Nothing against birds, and they are good shots, but when you show those other... :) Work on 8 a bit. It looks good as is, but maybe you can make it "pop" a bit more. Thanks for sharing Doug!

1,2,3,7 and 8 are awesome and definitely gallery worthy IMHO!! I also love the mood and toning of #4 but not too sure about the cropping on that one.
#6 doesn't have much interest to me.
And #5 is a tad TOO misty! O_o lol!
Overall, my fav has to be #3!! Superb shot, compo, clarity and presentation!!
As for #1, what a wicked natural design!!! So very well seen!!

Wow, Doug, these are great! Okay, now for my unprofessional opinion. ;) #1 is a great natural design, but I'm not sure about for the gallery...I think maybe the white bothers me a bit.... #2 has a great tone and pov. I don't see where it's typical at all.... #3 is awsome! I love it. Beautiful dof and pov. #4 I like a lot. Of course I'm a bit biased when it comes to pianos....I have played since I was 6 so I love the piano with that tone and dof. #5 is a bit too misty....I still like it, but compared to the others....maybe not for the gallery. #6 the bird isn't as clear as it could be. But it is a great capture....birds are hard. #7 is a beautiful duck and great pose....but as said before, not as good as the others. #8...OMG Doug, I can't believe you haven't put this one in the gallery! I don't see it as being washed out at all. I LOVE that one! The web is so clear with all those drops on it. That one needs to be uploaded. :) Okay, now that I babbled enough.....one more thing. These are all great photos and well presented. I would love to have some like these in my gallery. If I had to choose favorites, they would be the piano, the lock and definately the web. This is a great idea...maybe I will look through my left overs and see if anything is worthy of a second look. :)

i don't really understand this concept of "gallery worthy." i guess it's different for everyone. Good grief, Doug, i don't know why you call these leftovers. don't be silly! :) #1...delights me to no end!!!! You should print that out & hang it!!! Well hell...that's what i would do if it were MY image!!! i LOVE it!!!! and i'd sure as hell put it in my gallery! i wonder why you don't think this (and the others) are good enough for your gallery. #2 & #3...they're both awesome photos if you ask me. both composed superbly i love the subject matter in both!!! that sun in #2 is amazing!! #3...well, i love locks and chains, and you really did this one so artistically!!! #4 i don't really care for. POV is interesting but composition seems a bit off. But since i do everything ass-backward when it comes to composition....LOL! #5 i think is beautiful the way it is. i might increase the contrast a bit just to see the difference. #6 & #7...not boring but not nearly as good as these other images. #8 good grief, doug...that's an outstanding capture!! i don't think it looks washed out. very, very nice! my favs...#1 and #3!!!!! :)
Somehow I really like #5. I guess it's the atmosphere.. The others are very cool too :)
