Today's sepcial item is the "Sphere of Power" - a $49.95 item now reduced 100% - Not a bad deal... I'd say it's got to be just as much a necessity as the Hi-Res Morphing Cube from Daz

vilian ( ) posted Fri, 21 October 2005 at 3:32 PM

Of course it's a must-have for any Poser user ^^

The documentation is a bit sparse ....

4blueyes ( ) posted Fri, 21 October 2005 at 3:37 PM

I already have it! It is so ... so ... round... 4be

kuroyume0161 ( ) posted Fri, 21 October 2005 at 4:14 PM

Wow! Did you read the review at PoserProsvLosers.com? Friday, October 21, 2005 (a day that will live in infancy): "Kuroyume thought he held reign in the 'court' of spheres with his measely Basketball prop. The Sphere of Power wins palms down and with a 'slam dunk' while the Basketball prop just sits there and dribbles. If he expected to net any users, he's missed the big hole in the bottom!" It just goes downhill from there... ;0)

Price reduced from $49.95? Maybe they had to mark it down to compete with the one at turbosquid.

dlk30341 ( ) posted Fri, 21 October 2005 at 5:28 PM

I thought they marked it down to compete with the cube(Bryce) here ;)

randym77 ( ) posted Fri, 21 October 2005 at 5:29 PM

LOL! Can you actually download it? Has anyone "bought" it?

Dave-So ( ) posted Fri, 21 October 2005 at 5:55 PM

its in my cart, but I haven't checked out yet. I bought the DAZ cube too, when that was put up that one time...but I haven't tried to install it :)

LOL! I'm going to grab it. It's the perfect companion for the Millennium Cube. And it appears to be higher-res than Poser balls.

Acadia ( ) posted Fri, 21 October 2005 at 7:08 PM

I have no idea what it's for, and I can't texture anything yet, but I grabbed it anyway.

Folks, it's a joke. It's a trick, not a treat. DAZ did something similar on April Fool's Day a few years ago, offering a new product called the "Millennium Cube." It was just a cube.

ziggie ( ) posted Fri, 21 October 2005 at 7:56 PM

NO...! it wasn't JUST a cube...! It was a FREE cube...!

This looks like one of those free items you get on those CDs that come with those pricey British 3D magazines. Like a crappy 3D models valued at $500 yeh right

kuroyume0161 ( ) posted Fri, 21 October 2005 at 11:45 PM

This is a joke! Check out the product images and it is obvious that this is a joke. Is it April 1 already? ;)

Don't get too excited until you read the "LICENSE AGREEMENT"

"The 3-D Model(s) may be copied in whole or in part for User's exclusive use. Unauthorized copying of the 3-D Model(s) is expressly forbidden.

Looks like DAZ just copyrighted the Sphere.....
