It seems to take forever, poser 6 exists about almost 1 year and still no possibility to import poser scenes in carrara pro 4!! Since i dont have poser 5 or 4 i am waiting, waiting.... . Does somebody have a clue when the transposer update would be released or should i consider buying vue 5??

This is my opinion only, but I think the new owners of Poser aren't making things available to Eovia so they can update Transposer to handle Poser 6 properly. Since Shade and Carrara are competitors to each other e-frontier would rather you buy Shade than Carrara.
Log into this Tuesdays chat and ask the Eovia people about status of th Transposer 2 update and see what they say.

Hi Michvanz, don't know if you've tried this, but do a search for 'poser' in this forum (carrara) - you'll find loads of info on exporting poser stuff as obj files. I'm not sure if dynamic hair will work, but you'll still have access to dynamic clothing. And check out echo871's gallery here, he/she(?) has been doing really cool stuff with poser and carrara from before transposer so I don't think having carrara and p6 will be a complete waste of your money.
I agree with you though, it's really annoying that I've still got to have p5 installed on my system, as well as p6. It's not so bad on my desktop, but I do notice the extra space it takes on my laptop.

I think vue 5 is limited unless you have Infinite. I didn't think it supported everything. Altho I guess you could by mover too.

Hi Esther, You have probably noticed that Carrara 5 has been announced and the good thing is that it has alot more poser support than Carrara 4 pro.Again I am not a poser user that much but you should look into what C5 can do . The good thing for you is that I think you bought C4pro after October 1 so you are eligable fot the free upgrade to C5pro that has the native poser import options.I would check this out if you haven't already. Also, before I told you that carrara didn't have something exactly like Vue infinites ecosystems , well C5 does(dont know what exactly ecosystems do though). You can create scenes with 30,000 trees etc and Carrara handles it with ease and the file sizes are small too.I posted an image in my gallery that uses the new clouds and the new surface replicator tool. You bought c4 at the right time I think.
