Tradivoro is right. Why all the Bryce images with monsters, dark scenes, and just plain old death? Many of them are striking and I could never hope to be as proficent with the software. But when's the last time you saw an image that brings a smile to your face, or an image of a place you wished to be? Lighten up, please.
I see that this topic is going to be very difficult for some people, but first I was thinking that Bryce is a very easy tool for doing renderings in a nice harmony... but how can you bring some feelings? Thats something difficult. You dont have to make fighting people or some crazy scene. It doesnt have to be dark. I hope you people understand what I try to tell. I have done many renderings, but every time when I try to put some feelings I fail. Just wanted to see how you can manage with that. I think thats a real challenge. The time limit was just a way to make the scale smaller.
I always think the challenges should state if you can use post touch up or not... Sometimes I think its neat what can be done after the fact but that really isn't the software, and making the software you are using do the work or you for that matter is important to me. So I guess the question is can it be imported to something else for touch up or just Bryce by itself..
A little debate; fine. But then again, lets try this one out. Lets see if we can make pics that make people feel, think, laugh even. I see a lot of -good- Fantasy and SF work, but lets face it; most of them involve fighting or sex, or both. Lets go for something new. Maybe we produce something terrible, and so we learn. Or maybe we produce something that changes how people think about 3D-programs. After all, painters use the same paint but with different effects on the public; so can we; we use electronic paint. Remember: there are no bad paintings, only bad painters. I'll take up the challenge by Apache...

I'd like to have a go at this one, but I'm a little unsure of the rules. I take it that imported Poser figures are out. Does that apply to other imported models? Where do we post our entries? If there is an FAQ file on this, I couldn't find it. I think this is an excellent challenge: evoking emotion from a post-war street scene. I'm in!Attached Link: http://www.weirdass.net
Completely ignorant of this challenge, I just uploaded a free download to weirdass.net. A boolean traffic light with real nyc street signs attached. Also check out the brick textures and brick wall. Feel free to use them to your hearts content ladies and gentlemen, and good luck with the challenge. check out http://www.weirdass.net/images/gallery_posts/traffic_light_download/NYstreet.jpg for what some of these textures and forms look like in action.Attached Link: http://www.renderosity.com/viewed.ez?galleryid=40443&Start=1&Artist=ppowellaa&ByArtist=Yes
I posted in the main galery and trying to link it here, if the link doesn't work I'll just post the image. This site uses cookies to deliver the best experience. Ok, it looks like i will pick the next challenge. I like to see what you people can do with Bryce. Can you bring the feeling of suffering and emotion. So i pick A City Scene after a war. Timelimit 1900-1950 How does it sound ?
