This sentance from the opening paragraph, . "the circumfusion of those mean dwellings that swarmed like an epidemic around its outer walls. " . . provided a very vivid image. which, now i have my castle model, i have to pursue. modelling has started on the huts - (see image). need to create some new textures (samples in image), differing from the castle itself, maybe more monochromatic.

I am very impressed. Architectural modeling is not my strong suite though I would like it to be. I am left wanting more because I am a greedy bastard. Some more views woudl be nice shots looking up maybe a few buildings from the villiages and a view from there.

Oh I wanna tutorial! What did you do with those hand-drawn bumpmaps? I couldn't tell where in the pic you'd used them... Did you use the stretched and bent variations? I'd love to see those. Especially textured.

okay okay, give me the weekend and i'll TUT it up, the strecthed and bents will feature in the next image of the village outside the walls. . . . "They sprawled over the sloping earth, each one half way over its neighbour until, held back by the castle ramparts, the innermost of these hovels laid hold on the great walls, clamping themselves thereto like limpets to a rock. These dwellings, by ancient law, were granted this chill intimacy with the stronghold that loomed above them. " . . .

Hooray hooray hooray. Another tutorial, woohooo! (dancing around in glee) Please forgive me if I don't immediately say anything should it arrive in the next few days - as I'll be in transit prior to flying home - and it depends for a few of those days, on whether we get the transit room with the phone line or not. After that, I'll be actually flying, then I'll die for a day I expect... Long flight.
