Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Dec 23 7:38 pm)
I see, thaks for the heads up on the upload. wyrwulf, I renders only what is seen, quick and speedy. The unused styles aren't hidden. They aren't loaded at all so they don't slow anything down. Now I wish we could consolidate all the piles of Poser stuff across the web into "changing figures". The concept will work on anything Poser.
Bloodsong, I made it a figure instead of .pp2 and .hr2 files. The hair figure shown is a .cr2 posable/conforming figure. Also with PorPacks quirky new design I don't want to use .pp2 or .hr2 files anymore. Until information on Poser software changes because more forthcoming, I don't consider these stable file formats. Damn, I lost my link for PoserTech. Bloodsong knows. What is it again.

Here's the URL to my mailing list: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/PoserTECH You have to join to access the files section. -JH.This would be great!!! I was hopeing you'd actually do something like this. I been wanting to get all the hair, but just couldnt afford to do so. I am assumeing that this will have a farely resonable price tag. Like the everybed. If you do this with your clothes as well, Id be in heaven. Count me in as one who will be very inerested in this item. Geart work anton. Cant wait for your stuff for vicki. I really want the 18th century dress for her. I tried scaleing it to fit her and it was a nightmare. Thats the only problem with vicki, she cant wear posettes clothes. And vicki's wardrobe it limited.
This is all standard Poser code. Nothing new hear. Works just like the skeleton's hands. Morphs can stay attached if desires. I'm not doing it with these because the body parts take over the posaing and morphs crawl through too many joint zones. It's all give and take. Full body morph would work fine. You would just have to label what style the morph dial are for.

Well for some reason I'm having trouble uploading an image. Oh well. What I wanted to show you was a single posable/conforming hair figure that can change into 9 different styles without morphs. The figure is composed of all my best Female hairstyles. This is how it works. The hair figure loads in with a default style. When you select the hair there is a dial that says "change_hair". There are 8 settings besides the default. Every time you turn the dial up one, a new hairstyle swaps into place. Each with it's own seperate material and maps and perfectly in place and holding the same pose. Basically "dail-a-style". It works the same way as the bed frames on my "Everybed". From now on I am going to offer this feature in everything possible from hair to clothes, design permitting. Featuring both "dial-in-variations" and "dail-in-textures". No more loading of new textures. Just dial up a new one. The term I'll use to identify these products will be "changing". Example: 'P4 Changing Hair', 'Vicki's Changing Fantasy Suit', etc I myself, am tired of loading in prop after prop, parenting, texturing, etc just to find I want to change it. We all know what a head-ache that is. I also hope that this will encourage other vendors to offer 'dial-in-variation' as well. I think this is the future of Poser products. It offers huge varienty and savings to the customer and is just more convenient and easier to use than what we all do now. This hair figure uses the chest, neck, and head areas for posing and fits Posette. Very soon I will be offering Vicki and Michael "Changing" products only at Daz because Vicki and Michael are their products. My other new products will still go to Bbay only. This product should hopefully be up at Bbay tomorrow. Bbay is down right now due to severe weather in the Notheast but will be up soon I'm sure. Regards, Anton Ps: Any bbay issues please email instead of posting
