Been playing around with IBLs (AO's) for the last few weeks. And one thing I can not figure out, is aiming. Where is the center point. How do you aim a IBL(AO)?

Is it the very top?
Is it aimed at the front?
What is the shape of lighting of a IBL? Cone? Sphere?, Flat?
How about night IBL's (AO). Like in city, downtown? Is it possible, or only day images?
Been working on this one image for weeks. A few days ago, added the bump maps and shadow on ground. Going to work on another image after I understand IBL's

You don't aim IBLs. They illuminate the scene from every direction (depending on the image).
