Hi everyone! I hope someone can help me. I am working on a body texture for Vicky but for some reason I can't load it into Poser. I go to the materials box, pick the body part, get the dialogue that lets me pick the file, select the file, but nothing happens. Does anyone know what could be causing this? Thanks in advance! Jo

What file format are you saving the texture image as? How big is the file?

I've tried saving it as both a TIF and a JPEG.. biggest about 300k. And I've made textures before with no problem, which is why I'm wondering if its a funky Vicky thing or a bug or something (this is my first experience with Victoria).

I know these are going to sound like stupid questions, but it sounds so far like you are doing everything right, so I'm just trying to narrow things down...the problem may be in the specifics. After selecting your texture file in the dialog box, does the name of the file show up on the pull-down menu or no? Is the slider under the pull-down all the way up to 100%? Have you tried loading any other textures for Vicky and have they worked or no? What is the name of the material you are applying the texture to? (It's possible that you are applying it to a material the cr2 references, but the .obj file no-longer uses.) Are there any other materials named similarly? Are you loading the Vicky character from the default cr2 from DAZ or from a customized cr2 from someone else?

hehe they arent stupid questions at all. i'm pretty new at this, so i figure you guys would be the best source of info. the body texture doesnt show up in the drop down box at all, and i've tried changing the head texture just to see if it works and it does. the slider is at 100% I'm applying the texture to skinbody, and i'm loading Vicky from the default cr2 from DAZ. thanks a million for your help!

figured it out! when i was working on the file in photoshop, i had it in CMYK mode, and apparently this was what was messing it up. i changed it and was able to load it up. thanks again!

I had no idea what was wrong. I just figured if I asked enough questions you would solve the problem just so I would shup up =)

make sure your running in texture shaded mode.......click the right hand sphere to get this or Ctlr-9......Steve
