While the IK was not too hard for the feet, the hands are much too difficult for me to use IK. Plus the joints get so twisted, it takes me five minutes to adjust an arm, hand just to hold this fishing rod. I don't know how long it will take to do the same for an annimation. Looks like C5Pro will make all this easier, plus the weights for joints/ mesh. Has anyone played with painting on weights for joints yet? The vest for this fisherman looks very stiff. I want to adjust it for poses. I'll play with morphs to make it bend in when the arm comes down. Any suggestions? R

Have you taken a look at my rig setup? I developed a fairly flexible hand rig. You might want to adjust the hand a bit, looks a bit short in proportion and I see some bending issues cropping up at the joints. Link to the rig and videos demoing it: http://www.eovia3d.net/showthread.php?t=4162

Yes, I watched your progress on the rig with anticipation, but didn't download your finished rig. You don't mind if I do? Thank you. I am trying for an entie scene, along a river bank with mountains, trees, etc. and how I'm going about it is by building the components - the man, dog, rod, etc. all seperate and then importing them... works okay, but the import sometimes is screwed up. the dog for example had arms raised above its head and it kept flipping back. It had ik on 4 feet, two on each on second and last bone of foot. In the original file, the dog had working IK, but when I imported it, it came in messed up. Do your rigs ever flip? Thanks, R.

How did you import it?

I'm importing the entire file through the import from "File" down. I delete lights, camera, etc. In some cases, I use the motion - flying, swimming, and repeat it once it is in. R.
