Phew it's been a long time in the making, but noggins poser owl just made it in to the store for Halloween! As usual with most of my bird packs you get two moodels for the price of one! A flying and perched version. Here's a promo of the owl pack with the default Eagle owl texture.

The pack comes with 10 flying and 10 perched poses to get you started. The textures are 2048x2048 and based on original photos by the author. The second species pack comes with 7 seperate species MAT/MOR's that load on to the flying and perched versions.

The owl is packed with easi-pose and has a multitude of morphs to extend the models appeal

If you are in to Harry Potter then how about a 'Hedwig'? The snowy owl has a male and female MAT/MOR.

One of my favourites the Tawny owl

The Little owl (or might do as a burrowing owl) would do as the familiar of the goddess Athena.

And finally the old Great Grey Owl from the coniferous forests of northern North America and Eurasia!

Oh forgot to add that the owl also contains a series of 'fantasy' morphs that allow you to stretch your owl to the limits!! I'll drop a hint that a fantasy species pack is about to appear but for the moment here's one that got zapped in the morphomagic machine!

Fantastic, it has been a long time gestating but looks worth the wait, glad my pay came in this week.

He is wonderful, really the wait, as said above, was worth it....wonderful jog. Sharen

That owl went into my cart as fast as any wizard spell cast! Thank you Noggin!!

sixus1 ( ) posted Tue, 01 November 2005 at 7:51 PM

Nice owl. That fantasy morph on it looks super cool. --Rebekah--

Petunia ( ) posted Tue, 01 November 2005 at 10:28 PM

LOL That last one looks like he got into the chocolate covered coffee beans!!

hauksdottir ( ) posted Wed, 02 November 2005 at 2:29 AM

That last one just ate Ratticus, the wizard's familiar, and has come to the unfortunate realization that swallowing anybody wearing a pointy hat can be bad for the digestion. ;^) I may have to go shopping.

Thanks guys for all your nice comments_ I hope you are enjoying using the owl. Arki, who I've been co-working on this one, has just uploaded a set of really beautiful fantasy owl MAT/MORs_ they should be in the market place before very long (here and PoserPros we hope). She's just let me have her final version and I have her permission to show the images I created using them. I thoroughly recommend these owls for anyone who wants to add that something special to their fantasy renders. This one her jewelled owl_ beautiful tones and colours_with lovely filigree finish on parts of the body.

This is her phoenix owl_ this the plain version

but how's about this! Phoenix aflame_ rendered in P6 (or P5) These glow and fire effects are something else and really bring the owl alight!

This is her lovely ghost owl_ lovely subtle colours with interesting bump map effects over the body. The owls all come with MAT/MORs_ this owl is quite tiny with a long magpie like tail. There are loads of material and part-material settings.

And this one_ probably my favourite_ the Storm Owl with it's 'stars' setting. This rendered on a black background in P6. This is the largest of the owls with long stream like 'ears' and beautiful flight feathers glowing with galaxies and nebulae. Bravo Kim_ you too are a star!

LilWolff ( ) posted Fri, 04 November 2005 at 4:27 PM

There they are! I have been watching for these textures ever since I first saw them. Glad they are finally coming out. Fantastic work on these really expands the owl even further into the supernatural and mystic realm. :-)

Petunia ( ) posted Fri, 04 November 2005 at 4:48 PM

Those are beautiful! Arki is such a lovely artist!

RICHARD ( ) posted Fri, 04 November 2005 at 6:30 PM

looks cool, can't wait til they come out.

hauksdottir ( ) posted Mon, 07 November 2005 at 7:47 AM

I went ahead and got the owls... but Arki's lovely augmentations are not in the stores yet. I'm in favor of good testing, so will be patient. Can there be an announcement when they are available? Thanks! Carolly

noggin ( ) posted Mon, 07 November 2005 at 12:50 PM

Sure thing Carolly, I think Arki will make an announcment but I'll post here too when I hear. Won't be too long now I think.

Petunia ( ) posted Mon, 07 November 2005 at 1:40 PM

That is a great idea! I, too, have been looking for her fantasy textures!

Arki ( ) posted Mon, 07 November 2005 at 8:48 PM

" but how's about this! Phoenix aflame_ rendered in P6 (or P5) These glow and fire effects are something else and really bring the owl alight!? I really like the flame effect. BTW, I'm glad you are still producing birds. Loved your crow, plan to buy the vulture when it comes out.
