Checkout the Content Paradise and the Passport Program. What do you think?

Not 100% sure, looks good but I think I need more info before I go for it.

Due to the childish TOS changes, I'm not allowed to link to my other products outside of Rendo anymore :(

Food for thought.....

Looks a lot like DAZ's Platinum Club deal ... but I've spent less than $8 at the newly-revamped Content Paradise since its inception, so it probably wouldn't be a wise investment for me. That new Poser figure at which they're hinting sounds interesting, but it'll have to be something truly revolutionary to top Anton's Apollo. Anyone know what's going to be in the Passport CD Volume One?

Tyger_purr ( ) posted Wed, 09 November 2005 at 8:00 AM

I'm not sure i'd pay $80 (full price) for it, but $60 looks ok, and $30 for poser 6 owners sounds pretty good. the biggest reason i havent been buying much at content paradise is that most of it can be had elsewhere for the same price. If they are offering discounts, like this $10 voucher this month then it sounds like a really good deal. In the end it will probably be like DAZ's Platinum Club. good for some people, but not for everyone.

Well I will find out. Signed up at $30 for the year. Marque

Wasn't Passport the name of an ill-fated Microsoft plan to take over the Internet? ;-)

Hmmm. $30 isn't bad. I might take a flyer on this.

And if you buy or upgrade to P6 now, you get Passport for free.

jwiest ( ) posted Wed, 09 November 2005 at 12:03 PM

Anybody know how long the $30 price for P6 owners will last? I can't decide yet if it'd be a good deal for me or not, though at this point it's looking not as good as the PC to me.

I am not sure. I bought most of the P6 stuff I wanted at the same prices the Passport club is offering. Also, I only use Poser so all the other software items are of no use to me. I need more info. I did not even see the 30.00 offer for p6 users until I read this string. That makes it more appealing. I do not think they are being clear enough.

kobaltkween ( ) posted Wed, 09 November 2005 at 7:40 PM

"40% off e frontier Poser figure packs (including Miki, Koji and more!) 50% off other select Poser content from e frontier (Tons of exciting additional models and more!)" hmmm. so either i stop getting a discount as a p6 owner or they give passport owners the same discount as p6 owners. i don't care either way, i'd just like it clarified. does the passport discount include sales? and "select" content? that's a bit vague. what's on the cd they send you? right now i don't know what to make of it. they should probably make the terms a bit simpler. i can say this, if e-frontier is listening. i stay in platinum club for the discount on top of release sales of all daz originals. every time i start to think, "wow, i don't really want anything in the club, maybe i should drop it," daz either announces a new figure or releases a new discount pack or has a sale of some sort on discounted items.

krazik ( ) posted Wed, 09 November 2005 at 8:10 PM

Passport discounts are on-top-of any other discounts. So if we say we release a new figure and its price is $50 and we offer $20 off for P6 users. You get the $20 off a $50 figure for being a P6 owner -then- Passport users will get the additional disounts. (lets say 50% in this case) so your price on the new figure would be $15. We're always listening. I've passed your info on to teh product manager who is incharge of the passport product. -Rylan ef/cp developer

What is "Passport CD Volume One"? What is on it, what is the plan, what is the idea behind it, the concept for it? Give us a clue, a hint, an impression, mime it, Morris code, semaphore, cryptogram. Just stop ignoring the question.

Tori, Im not yet interested in the characters from e-frontier but have a very big interest in most props and clothes e t c stuff compatible with Daz unimesh figures, I buy a lot of items from Rdna and other places. Is this enough? I also think that this talk about selected things are vague. Best, Mats

kobaltkween ( ) posted Thu, 10 November 2005 at 1:54 PM

will the discounts include any brokered items?

randym77 ( ) posted Fri, 11 November 2005 at 5:44 AM

They say there will be monthly coupons and discounts for "third party content." I assume that's Rosity, Sixus, and RDNA stuff. This month, it's a $10 gift certificate good for anything in the store. If there are a couple more deals like that, it's worth the price of admission.

Well, I signed and to be honest, $30 minus $10 voucher for this month, started to be a great deal although most of the passport items are furniture at the moment but some look very nice.

I apologize if this has already been addressed.

E-Frontier's CP is misleading IMHO...
(I really think they should spell it out)

You WILL NOT qualify to get CP Passport for "free" if you don't purchase it from an e-frontier owned store. I JSUT bought the boxed version at local store because didn't want to wait for shipping.

When I sent a message to the CP Staff yesterday about the issue their reply was that those who purchased from third party retailers (such as CompUSA, Amazon, E-On, etc.) don't qualify for the Free CP Passport promotion because it wasn't purchased at an E-Frontier shop. Oh well. :(

Hopefully this will help someone who is wondering about this or deciding whether to add this to their cart. :)
