Downloading now. This should get me a bit more interested in playing around with Bryce some more. Haven't used it a whole lot since I bought the new version. Hopefully, that'll change.

Guess its only going to be available for those with a "High Bandwidth web connection" In my opinion if you are going to offer a model for a freebie then it should be made available for everyone not just those with a certain internet connection... CD (One upset puppy)

It's only 5 megs, thats doable on 56K.

CrazyDawg ( ) posted Wed, 09 November 2005 at 5:46 AM · edited Wed, 09 November 2005 at 5:48 AM

TwistedBolt if the model is only 5megs than why is it only those with High badwith internet connection are the only ones that may get it..

I will quote pidjy here "By the way, Flash7 player and a High Bandwidth web connection are required"
PS: just for interest, i'm downloading a 20mb file while typing this, its coming in at 5KB/s and i'll have it in less than an hour...

Pigjy, I was just wondering... is the "free model inside" - a baby bug? Or its last meal? LOL!

lol@fran.. a babybug? what a strange question! but it's interesting, I could model a machine based on the human reproduction fonctions... with male and female interfaces different positions available from a remote controle etc.. errr... well considered, I'm not sure to model it finaly (lol)

pidjy ( ) posted Wed, 09 November 2005 at 1:09 PM

By the way... free texture .mat file available on my web page! log = brycebudy / pass = matos003 cheers!

FranOnTheEdge ( ) posted Wed, 09 November 2005 at 3:35 PM · edited Wed, 09 November 2005 at 3:37 PM

It was just that you said "free model inside" so I thought... (It was a bad joke)

Oh, tried that password for the mat file - doesn't work.

Awesome Model noticed a small glitch on the website which is awesome by the way. At the Login Prompt, I can highlight the word Password and type over it.

pidjy ( ) posted Wed, 09 November 2005 at 9:26 PM

Oh yes analog.. i've seen this.. it's because I've set this text on the wrong mode.. will correct that

CrazyDawg ( ) posted Wed, 09 November 2005 at 10:28 PM

pidjy can i put in some advice on your website as well. On the home page you have your name flashing, now don't get me wrong it looks great but it could be dangerous to someone that is epilepsy. That kind of thing can put them into a cunfulsion, even looking at it for 3 seconds. Just a friendly warning on it for you. Thanks for the model as well..

I have opinions of my own -- strong opinions -- but I don't always agree with them.

pidjy ( ) posted Thu, 10 November 2005 at 3:12 AM

CD a fast flashing source may cause some epileptic fit only in case of a linear flash( I mean with allways the same time interval between the flash ) and with a range of 20Hz to 80 Hz In the case of my logo, it's set on a non-linear time set and not over 5Hz, so there is no danger of epileptic cunfulsion looking at it. Anyway thank you for the advice! It's true that it may be important to notice that in some cases.

FranOnTheEdge ( ) posted Thu, 10 November 2005 at 4:30 AM

Personally I like websites to be simple - that way you notice the art and not the flashy bits. Like I prefer a plain wall in a home so that the eye is drawn to the art and not the wallpaper pattern. Otherwise where's the point in HAVING art? Simple websites are also easier to navigate through, and that way you stay longer. The one thing that can totally stop me from even trying a site - is if annoying music starts up as soon as the front page appears. Drives me up the wall!

I have to agree with Pidjy on this. While some games can affect peps with/or are prone to epileptic episodes, his website wouldn't. My wife has had epilepsy for over 30 years (having upto 3 fits a day)so I'm a bit of an expert on this. Flashes on the tv from pics of explosions, disco lights, presenter's ties and such do cause episodes but every sufferer is different.
