Does poser 6 support radiosity lighting effects. My main goal here is realism for areas of portraits, and reflective objects. I have tried several lighting sets, but these all simply fake it as far as I know. What light sets can you suggest that have given great results in above mentioned areas? Thank You! C

Poser 6 does have a form of global illumination if you have a very powerful CPU, lots of RAM, and a LOT of patience. It's called the gather node, but in order to get decent results, you will need to turn up the quality settings quite a bit, which will make for a very slow render. Fortunately, there are a few ways to fake it.

Shademaster has a couple of light sets in freestuff.
Also, search freestuff for "global". It brings up several light sets that you'll like.

Finally, dig into the material room, especially the following nodes:
Math:Edge Blend
Lighting:Special:FastScatter
Lighting:Environment Map:Sphere_Map

Learning to effectively use the material nodes is just as important as setting up the lights themselves. It is also important to manage the render settings to balance speed and quality. I generally suck at tutorials, so I recommend just playing around with things. Just remember to save any good material settings to the library so you can use them again and/or improve them later. Or, if you just have to have the real thing, Carrara 5 will be able to directly import Poser figures, and it has a fantastic global illumination renderer.
