Anyone know if its possible to create a realistic muzzle flash or blast in Poseror DAZ studio??

I think there's one for sale in the marketplace here. The difficulty may arise when you consider that a muzzle flash only lasts a few milliseconds, which is less than the time of one frame in an ordinary animation.

Depends what you mean by realistic, this is the best I've managed in P4. It uses a "Jet Exhaust" prop I found in the Free Stuff.

Here is my attempt at an explosion. Undoubtedly someone more skilled, and who was willing to put a bit of time into it, could come up with better than these. This uses a square prop with a texture and transparency map.
