Well kind of a break from airplanes. I am working up a story to go with this new guy in the pics. He was modeled by me. It is really inspired by the hard rock of the 70's and even more by the cover art by people like Rodney Matthews and others. Working up the rest of the story. A couple blocks at a time. Had a lot of time to work on images this weekend and had a upgrade in Ram so got a lot more done than I usually do by this time.

Havign soem fun taking a trun to do soemthign new. Character work is not really my forte' but I do dabble in it. Force myself to get better at what I usually don't do.

Yuppers, that's why I've pushed myself towards photography & 2D composition. Trying for a more professional look.

I believe there actually was a rock band named Budgie. The cover had a jet fighter flightsuited budgie. Alwaqys thought it was a cool idea. look forward to your future works in this!

Yeah there was a band called Budgie. If I had been this inspired when I did the album cover competition I might have gotten a vote or two. I remeber a cover of one of their albums by Roger Dean I had his books that is where the idea took flight. But I was more into the whole stylised character thign of Rodney mattews. This is nto the last you will see of ole Condor budgie no sir. Episode two will be a while yet. Modelitn elements for it as we speak and episode 3 will be an even longer wait.

I had a budgie once who would open his cage and fly into my food when I was eating. Strangely enough he loved mashed potatos. One time he got out while I was doing dishes and tried to land on a mountain of suds, he flew right through it and into the dishwater. Wasn't any too pleased about it either.

Well a second installment is here for you. The next ones will take a while longer there is more modeling involved for them.
