Ja, I find it CURIOUS that the parent company of Curious Labs also uses the TGS (owners of Amapi and Carrara) ZAP viewer plug-in... VET is cool but licensing is outrageously expensive. ZAP appears to do nearly the same thing, and EGISYS, owners of Curious Labs, must think so too. They license BOTH but their recent Deutchland demo seems to use ZAP...

  1. If I create a 3Space scene, can I put it on my web site? Yes, of course. Don't forget to reference the 3Space player object from within your web page in the codebase tag. 2) Do I have to pay TGS anything to put a 3Space file and (possibly) some .z3d files on my web site? Only commercial sites have to pay for it. The annual fee is 100$ per web site. Check our 3Space Document Distribution Agreement. For non commercial use, there are no licensing fees to put 3Space content on your Web site as long as you: Point to the TGS web site for the player download (in other words, use the TGS recommended URL in the CODEBASE attribute of your OBJECT tag) Include the "Powered by 3Space" button below (which is a link to the TGS web site) on every page that include 3Space content. ****************************************************** The same license for VET is $1000 MINIMUM...

Amapi 6 is due out in two weeks and will be marketed under Eovia, the same new TGS division that will be selling the new Carrara, due out in May... Plugins for MAX and Lightwave are also close to release, and Amapi/Carrara may also support Poser files into the ZAP 3Space Player format...

There have been no conversations to date regarding TGS, Amapi or Carrara supporting export of Poser files to the ZAP format. Steve Cooper
