I'm organizing my V3 runtime by putting Eye MATs with Eye MATs, Nails MATs with Nail MATs, Makeup MATs with Makeup MATs, etc. I do'nt have Poser setup right now, nor V3, so I can't check this for myself. I'm seeing allot of .PNG, .RSR, and .PZ2s files(of the same name,) that are thumbs with just text and no images, and much unlike many of the other Image based Thumbs in the set. These generally come with names like "So and So's Eye's," "So and So's Nails," or "So and So's Makeup," and right before the normal Eye, Nail, and Makeup files that correspond. From what I remember a normal MAT loads all of the files required to make the change, but then what are these thumbs with just text and no images? I thought they could just be Title/Headers or something, but then I realized they have .PZ2s, and really hope they aren't required for anything?

I guess that is more what I'm asking.

If your talking about what Im thinking ur talking about they are header files; my comp is down at the moment so I cant grab a screenshot. I am a new to the poser world but I believe that an png/rsr file has to have a pz2 file to show in the library. The pz2 file will I believe be empty if u open it. Im sure if im wrong someone will be along to be able to answer u better.

Thank you very much spiritwolf2000! They are almost empty. I bet the little Version and Figure data that is there is what must be needed to constitute it as a .PZ2, as opposed to a blank .txt file. Pheeew! I threw half of mine away, not thinking they were much. Then I started getting nervous when I kept finding them. Thanks again for a great answer, that was really impressive! = )

.rsr's are not "almost empty" text files. They are just not redeable in text editors. It's a kind of Mac image format with changed extension and messed-up header. Those are thumbnails for .pz2 of the same name. green eye.rsr - green eye.pz2 - green eye.png combo means that you have a proper MAT pose with two kinds of thumbnails - one for P4 (P4 reads only .rsr thumbs, all newer versions do read them too but convert them to .png), and one for all other versions of Poser, starting from ProPack.
