Subject: Verdict on Passport membership?

A couple days ago someone asked what people thought of this at CP. Any updated thoughts?

I'm actually not totallt sure what you even get with Passport - do you get access to subscriber-only content like with XFX-3D or is it just a discount club like Daz PC?

Well I emailed them earlier about what you get to use the voucher on and they said Quote: In fact, it should only be used with RDNA and stuff like that, because the Passport will automagically come with all kinds of cool discounts on E-Frontier stuff... don't waste the coupon on us... go play!!! You should use it on your purchases from all our partner stores and have a blast!!! Mary

Just remember... You WILL NOT qualify to get CP Passport for "free" if you don't purchase Poser 6 (I got the FULL version instead of an upgrade) from an e-frontier owned store. I JUST bought the boxed version at local store because I didn't want to wait for shipping. When I sent a message to the CP Staff about this issue their reply was that those who newly purchased Poser 6 from third party retailers (such as CompUSA, Amazon, E-On, etc.) don't qualify for the Free CP Passport promotion because it wasn't purchased at an E-Frontier shop. Oh well. :(

Don't feel bad, I upgraded when Poser 6 was first released and seems like the deals keep getting better for those who wait longer to buy. When the next version of Poser comes out, I'll wait for the better deals. Maybe by then it will be cleared just what you get with Passport. I'm real clear on what I get with the PlatClub at Daz.:)

Well seeing as how I've already purchased Koji, Miki, Apollo Max and jsut about everything that CP has for them, it's kinda a day late and dolllar short to offer me these discounts unless they're planning on adding important things like Koji & Miki Morphs, True Photorealistic Textures for all the P6 figures, Better morphs and clothes for all. So yeah, I'd like to hear more about what's in store for the store for the future than "Oh, you'll get good discounts." Good Disounts on what is what I need to know before I give away $30 for what may end up being nothing worth it. It's obvious from my purchase history that I support the store, but some announcements of what future products and support they plan to give for the characters I've purchased is in order before I make any monetary commitments to them.

PS What I'd Like To See announced: Faceroom Support for Koji and the P6 Children like the P5 Kids have! New Morphs for Koji New FB Morphs for James & Koji New Textures for every P6 Character including the kids! Clothing Addons for all p6 Characters including the kids!

I'll pass up Passport since it sounds like little more than a P6 users special discount club. If you don't have P6 it looks to be an easy way to waste your money. DAZ Platinum Club, on the other hand don't care what version you have, P4, PP, P5, P6 or Studio it's all the same to them.

Why shouldn't speech be free? Very little of it is worth anything.
