Subject: recent update patch wierdness

When I loaded the 4.0.3 patch it duplicated a lot of file folders under "Poser4 Updater Save". This folder looks to have a lot of updated material in it. It also has an executable file called PoserSave.exe. When I tried to activate it it gave me an error message: missing imageioutilities.dll. The patch site did specify some passible .dll problems associated with this patch. But the .dll I am missing is not one of them. So I tried to go to the .dll archive on their link... No dice, the whole archive is missing. Poser seems to run fine if I launch it from the normal .exe Any clues?

The files in the folder you refer to are the backup of the ones replaced by the update. The PoserSave.exe is probably supposed to put them back. I just deleted the Updater Save folder when I ran the update. You might want to contact Curious Labs about it before you do the same.

wyrwulf is right.its a backup of your old files.If everything works fine after the update, you can delete it. otherwise you can replace the new files manually or by uninstalling the update
