This is a very straightforward tutorial that even shows you how to morph your figure and get the clothing to fit. You don't have to do it though, you can skip the morphing part if you like and just pose the figure at that step. One thing not mentioned in this tutorial is that after frame 15 where you have the pose until frame 30 the simulation is run so you can get a selection of settings and decide which frame you like best. You can go back and forth on the animation bar in the Pose room when you're ready to render your image. And if you want an even quicker version, dynamic clothing in one frame, check out this tutorial by Deecey: http://www.laroo2.com/tut/deecey/oneframe.pdf

A quick run through of how and why to use the Cloth Room as an on screen video capture. Presented in real English ;)

That link has a great tutorial on dynamic clothing. It's what I used to learn it and it was pretty easy to follow. I'm rather dense when it comes to learning things in poser, so if I can follow a tutorial, you know it's a true "for dummies" one. lol The tutorial at the end does leave something important out. When you get to this point in the tutorial at the bottom:

Quote - Clothify the dress Click collide against, check your figure (Victoria), let the default parameters, uncheck "start draping from pose", check the 3 "ignore collision" boxes. This item have already a constrained group at the front top.

After doing that, go back to the Pose room. Make sure you have the figure as the active item. Change the frame numbers at the bottom as shown (30,60), then apply your figure's pose, then go back to the Cloth room. Make sure your clothing is the active item, and run the simulation. I use the 60 frame animation and start my pose at frame 30 like the tutorial states. Some use a smaller number, but I like the look of the 60 frame so keep using it. Running a simulation takes time, so start it and walk away. It may not look like it's doing anything sometimes... but trust me.. it is :)

And if it's not in any of the tutorials mentioned above...

Absolute necessity when doing dynamic cloth: After having set up everything, just before you're about to hit "calculate"... DON'T!!

Exit to Pose room (for safety) and SAVE the scene! + !!!!!
Then re-enter cloth room and continue.

If the calculation doesn't work, and you need to adjust parameters, pose or whatever to make it work, this step can save you an awful lot of time, just exit Poser (to free up memory), re-load Poser, re-load the scene and you're set to go.
And if it does, you've only lost a couple of seconds of time and a bit of disk space (and you can reclaim the latter, if not the former..)

Cheers,
Diolma

(Edited to add a few extra !!!)..
