Subject: Are there any male celebrity look-alikes for Poser?

Talos ( ) posted Mon, 21 November 2005 at 9:42 PM · edited Wed, 25 December 2024 at 10:20 AM

Once there was a Sean Connery type long ago for Mike 2. I realize that girl crazy people like me are part of the reason for the absence of good male celebrity characters for Poser, but wouldn't it be nice if there was George Clooney, Brad Pitt, or John Kennedy Junior? What do the ladies think about this lack of males? I tried to do a John Kennedy Junior texture for the Poser dork back in the old days, but I'm not talented enough. I also wish there were some classic movie villains like Boris Karloff or Vincent Price, but I'm trippin'.

You can find many there.

Also, if you can find Gwendoly's store (she used to be at Daz), she does loads of female celeb look-a-likes.

Morris and Face_off also have a Paris Hilton look-a-like for SP. Not sure if it's available here. I got mine at Daz.

Check out RnrWoman's gallery at the attached link. I don't think any of these were commercially released.

Quite honestly I can never tell who these look alikes are supposed to be. I think I've only been able to regognice 2 or 3 people out of like 30 :P And the 2 that I regogniced right away were freebies as well ;) I wish someone could do Hayden from Star Wars or Natalie. I tried but after my comp got a virus most of my files were deleted.

There's a Natalie P. morph that's quite good located somewhere in the DAZ Freepozitory. You'll probably find it if you do a search under that name.

Peelo ( ) posted Tue, 22 November 2005 at 12:50 PM

:O Really? Thank you :D goes to look I just remembered that there was a pretty good Vin Diesel character in renderosity freebies. "Roddick" it was called. M3 based. With textures and everything. I've used him a couple of times.

Ummm... I don't think Roddick is a freebie here. I searched on Rod and Roddick and nothing came up.

JRey ( ) posted Tue, 22 November 2005 at 2:00 PM

Do a "Roddick" search on this Forum NOT in Free Stuff. I just got it within the past couple days - sorry didn't save the link. Artist is d-larson, I believe.

Wow, I am amazed that you folks don't know Jepe's 7 MovieMen packs... actually 8 if you count the Orlando Bloom (Sebastian) Movie Men 2.5 release. Vin Diestel, Brad Pitt, Orlando Bloom, Leo DiCaprio, and Hayden Christensen was part of Jepe's Dick for ApolloMax. If you want to know more about male figures you could check out my site maleposerotica, as I list as many products for the male figures which are out there, including products on Renderosity and DAZ and RDNA etc... When people put out cool stuff for the male figures, be it M3, Freak, David, Luke, Hiro James, Koji or ApolloMax, I try to be up-to-date. Jepe finished his MovieMen series when he got tired of making high-quality products and no one bought them because lesser quality items were priced cheaper and outsold his sets. Mostly because he had 3 characters, with 3 completely different body textures with different levels of body hairiness and then some fabulous eyes with each set, and lighting and poses thrown in for good measure. His textures are close to perfect and the faces are very realistic to the original celebs. His last pack was a black male pack, including Denzel Washington, Will Smith and Wesley Snipes (including the Tattoos from Blade). He even created the main characters from Smallville just for me, and released it as Jepe's Movie Crew, with Clark, Lex and Lana for S3. Just go to the Marketplace and look up the vendor name JPeter.... Gwendolyn's stuff was removed from the Renderosity store for some reason, not sure why, but someone said she took them over to DAZ as originals. Not sure if that is true or not. Anyhow, I'm going to be releasing a complete set of morphs based on the Harry Potter films, however, I won't be selling them, I will be giving them out as freebies. Greetings, Antonio

Actually, the Movie Men packs were mentioned in the 1st response of this thread - no Sean Connery, George Clooney or "traditional" leading man types as requested, but they are worth checking out. I believe the artist has stopped his MM series, but would sure like to see a golden age movie pack with the likes of Cary Grant, James Stewart, Humphrey Bogart, Robert Mitchum, maybe Gregory Peck and Sidney Portier ... even John Wayne. One for the women would be great, too. Can you imagine some of the B-movie type renders that could be made with the likes Bette Davis, Joan Crawford and Barbara Stanwyck?

LostinSpaceman ( ) posted Tue, 22 November 2005 at 8:20 PM

Umm.... You do realise your site was hacked again today Antonio? At least it was hacked when I saw tis thread the first time and went looking for the Movie Men there.

There's a western Clint Eastwood around, too. I know he's at 'Rotica but I think I've seen him in a non-afult site, too--maybe RDNA?

I would love to see a good Sir Alec Quiness morph as well or Ewan Mc Gregor (Obi-Wan) I tried to do both but M3 simply doesn't have enough morphs and his head doesn't morph very well. That and I haven't found good reference photos either. I'm currently trying to morph Mace Windu (S.L.J.) but again I feel like I would need 100 extra morphs to even get close :(
