dose anybody hace any tips for making ice, transparent or not? any how to put cracks in it without PW?

what kind of ice? cubes, shards, glaciers, thin sheets over dark lakes?

You mean something like this? If that's what you want, I'll dig out the settings. As to the cracks, use a crack picture as a basis for a terrain/lattice. Foley: PW = postwork

Not sure how transperent you want it or how smooth looking i came up with both of these just to see which you like..

Yikes, that's a hard one, Like Erlik, I would probably just cheat and use an image texture of crackd ice to try and simulate it. :o/ That's a difficult text to simulate in the dte for me. AS

What wonderful Ice AS. I love it!!! CrazyDawg's is nice too, the more transparent one I mean. I think it's great the way you guy's just pop off and hey presto - ICE!

A couple of years ago Swade made some awesome ice mats. IM him and ask if they are still available. Clay had an ice mat also, if you do a search in freestuff for clay, I think it's still there.

I need the ice for a person (re-doing my Ice Maiden pic) i want the ice to look like a vary light-blue frosted glass. cracks in it would be great also. i have one rendering now (2nd day) and do you Admins ever delete a fourm thread, honestly you keep them up after 2 years?
