I have an ice mat that I would surely share with anyone who wanted it. If you want it IM me your email address unless AgentSmith were able to put it in our backroom or host it in free stuff..... I would love to share it with ya. It is a small file.... 134k

I am so going to make the world's first IOW pic ...

Got some Jack Daniels to pour over that? Looks Great! I'm assuming, though, that the mat is applied to irregular shaped meshes and not on Brycean cubes?

MoonGoat ( ) posted Fri, 25 November 2005 at 6:17 PM

Actually, those look like just the rounded cubes from the preset library, with the right one booleaned with a terrain. Makes the mat seem even more impressive!

Yep.... you are right MoonGoat. They are rounded cube primitives from the preset library... the right one is booleaned with another primitive.

Here's that "Nice Ice Baby" - I used all Swade's ices on the front 4 ... er... iceblobs, and my failure on the big one at the back left, while Clay's is on the back right... er blob. There are some differences, in the ice and the 'reflections' visible on the ground surface... fascinating stuff. Rounded cubes? I don't see any rounded cubes in MY Bryce, just square ones. I was thinking I'd have to MAKE a rounded cube in Wings and import it. There's another way?

Yes Fran... there is another way. Click on the CREATE menu>IMPORTED OBJECTS(presets). There is a rounded-edge cube in there. Though I have to agree; sometimes it's more fun to "roll-your-own" in Wings.

WooHoo.... Looks like you are having some fun with that ice Fran. 8)

danamo, I never even though about looking in there. I so seldom use anything from there. Thanks for reminding me. Still, I've now got some nice crumpled cubes for ice. Swade, Yeah, I'm using yours as a sort of reference, but I also had a play with putting lights inside the cubes, one normal positive and one negative with an orange colour - that's what gives the nice blue glow in the cube on the right. Dunno if it'll ever be of any use, but hey - I'm just playing.
