HOLY COW!!!! Is this a hair prop/figure, or is this dynamic hair? Either way, this is absolutely wonderful. I thought you superimposed a pic of hair on the render, as this is scary-real!! I will buy this soon. -Starkdog

For those with questions, this hair does, in fact, render in Poser Pro Pack. :) I'm still partial to it, even though I have P5 & P6, but I wanted to see if it would work in PPP (I prefer doing textures out of PPP, just more familiar) and it does render, slowly sometimes, but it does render. :)

I LOVE this and it's on my mental wishlist for later in the week. You also said: "Btw, my whole store except Eszter and this hair is on 50% sale!" I just went to your store but can't find anything on sale ;)

Hi, I'm very glad you like it! Starkdog, this is transmapped hair, it does NOT use any hair features in Poser. So if you want you can render it in any other 3D program. It works in Daz Studio as well, if you look in the thread at Polymage, there is an example render in DS. In fact shadows look nicer in DS than in Poser. Scene navigation is also so much better in DS. Polycount is about 40 000, this hair has been tested on computers with as little as 512mb and it rendered fine. Lilybelles, it's just my store that's on sale :) There are other vendors on Polymage, but if you just want to see the items in my store, it's this link: http://www.polymage.com/store/viewprod.php?b=2

Yup, I have an AMD 2800 (2+ghz processor) and only 512mb ram and it renders nicely for me in all 3 Posers (PPP, P5 & P6) It takes a little bit to render, but all in all, it's worth the wait! I'm doing a texture expansion pack for it as well :) Already started it at 1am last night when I saw the hair!!! I'm really excited about this product. It truly revolutionizes the way transmapped hair looks!

Wow, thanks for the kinds words serpentis! You can see from the textures it's easy to make your own color combos, just a matter of copy pasting really. You can also fade the colors into each other for different looks. Also you can color the roots vs tips since the strands are laid out flat in the textures. As I mention in the readme, to get the best renders you should render at higher rez than needed. The details are preserved much better this way.

Wow, those strands look great! Unfortunately, I can't see any of the other images on the site other than the main product. This has restricted me from making any purchases from Polymage and so I was thankful to see Ezster for sale here. Anyone else having problems? If they're pop-ups I know they're being blocked but I can override that by holding down Ctrl as I click. But like I said, in this situation nothing works for me :( Any help would be appreciated as I've already missed quite a few good sales at Polymage.

DigiCalimero ( ) posted Thu, 01 December 2005 at 7:14 PM

Hi Kalypso, you can use Firefox to browse the site, the popups should open then. Also there are lots of huge renders in this thread: http://www.polymage.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=184

So, it's not viewable with IE 6? Thank you for the link.

DigiCalimero ( ) posted Fri, 02 December 2005 at 2:16 AM

It works in IE6 as well, but what type of pop-up blocker do you use? I think that's the problem. The pop-ups are just standard javascript, but they do open from a flash file, so I guess that's the problem. You could just turn the pop-up blocker off while browsing the site.
