I can't guarantee this market since it is new and untried, but it was posted on another writer's forum and I thought it might be of interest here:The Town Drunk is devoted to light-hearted, quality speculative fiction. We will be looking for offerings that are fun to read, leaving our visitors entertained and eager to share what theyve read. We plan to publish one new story every two weeks.
First Reading Period: January 2-February 15, 2006
Content
At this time we want only speculative fictionthat is, work that fits into the science-fiction, fantasy, or horror genres. (Yes, there is such a thing as "lite" horror.) Cross-genre work is also welcome. Again, what
we want most is a story that will leave a reader with a smile.
Some specifics:
Everything else is game!
Length Limit
Submissions may not exceed 5,000 words in length. A word to us is six non-whitespace characters. (Many book publishers count words similarly.) Works longer than 5,000 words will be rejected unread.
Payment Terms
We pay a flat rate of US$35. This entitles us to First Worldwide Electronic Rights, and we retain exclusive rights for three months. After that time, we may archive the story on our website indefinitely, unless the author requests otherwise. We pay on acceptance.
We regret that we cannot consider unsolicited reprints at this time.
Response Time
Our target response time is one month (on average). However, our actual response time will depend on the volume of submissions received, something which is impossible to predict at this time. Once we begin
accepting submissions and get a better feel for our turnaround, we will update this page accordingly.
Please wait six weeks before querying about a submission.

We look forward to seeing your work!
