Subject: help with rendering

SFRealm ( ) posted Fri, 09 December 2005 at 10:10 AM · edited Thu, 07 November 2024 at 6:37 PM

I am using Poser5 and what I want to do is when I beging working a character is to have it render white with shades of grey and black shadows. Can you trun off the materials for rendering? I have gotten an effect like I mention using the lights but when I render it it adds the material. Here is a pic of it

You might want to try the Reset Mat script from male poser. Freestuff.

I must remember to remember what it was I had to remember.

Acadia am learning Poser5 and I do not know what you mean by bookmark. nickedshield I downloaded the reset mat script and read the readme file and do you know if the rewritten mat becomes the default mat or when I close and re-open Poser5 again will it default back to Poser5's default mat? any other ideals for the effect to render?

The reason why you see it as white is because you're not looking at it in textured mode (the little balls under your pic, the rightmost one is Textured mode. Click that, and it will loo like your render) Go to the Material Room and unplug all the nodes, then you'll be left with a white model that will render white.

You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA

ernyoka1 thanks How do you unplug all the modes in the Material Room. Can you post a jpeg showing how this is done?

Most scripts that I've used act on whatever is in the scene which means when you launch Poser again you'll probably have to run the script again. There were a few more scripts for Poser5 at male poser that you should look at, pertaining to node build up, which ernyoka1 was referring to.

I must remember to remember what it was I had to remember.

The P5 guy is white under his texture. So all you need IS to unplug the nodes and he'll render white as snow :o)

Uncheck the "use texturemaps" in your render settings, if you want him to render white with shadows.

Thanks for the help everyone - a lot of info to go through.

I would like to get the image as in this image for Poser5 - to get this image I saved out as an obj and then used ZBrush to get the line drawing effect.
