David and I think of Guitta often; we miss her sense of humor and her wonderful artwork. http://www.e-onsoftware.com/showcase/spotlights/?page=6Guitta was a fantastic person and though time goes by, she's not forgotten. One thing too bad is that their heirs let her web site go down. I would have never let that happen if it was me to decide. This is sad. I bet that she would have wanted to have her website kept on, more than anything else Vue-related.
Yes, Orio, I agree. I can't believe it's been a year already. Still I have fond memories of Guitta, and it's impossible to open Vue up without thinking about her and all she did to help me when I was new to this whole Vue thing. Guitta was a beautiful person who made beautiful art, and she will always be missed by those of us who had the pleasure to know her and to interact with her on a daily basis.
I wonder if as Vue community we could raise some sort of legacy fund (perhaps by selling something at the marketplace), enough to bring her website back online. That would be the best way to remember her - she loved to help people and to give what she had, so (also as thanks giving) we should do something to let her continue to give and make new Vue people happy. (btw nice to "see" you again Mike - yes we had a very good time together with Guitta - back in the times when Vue was not as popular and widespread as it is today - the three of us plus Varian and a few others are sort of the "historical memory" of Vue pioneering, lol)
Yeah, Vue 3.1. I remember it well. It was actually YOU who got me into it, if you remember, via the Poser E-group, now Yahoo. Man, I'd love to see anything that could bring Guitta's inspiration and teaching back to the web, whether it be through sales or simply cash donations, if that's what it takes. I don't know how much it would cost to reinstate her site, but I'd be willing to do my part to see it happen. Guitta herself may be gone, but her legacy, her contributions in the form of tutorials, and just plain answering questions, in her own way, ought to be preserved. There are alot of "stars" when Vue is brought to mind, but very few stars shone as bright as our dear Guitta Bertaud. Good to "see" you too again, Orio. :)

Oh yes, already one year. I think we all should hold on for a minute to think back to this great Lady.
