Kind of a rush job, had to do the entire shoot in an hour. These shots will be used in the Local Junior Miss Program. I could have used a reflector on most of the shots, but I did not have anybody to assist me. The link is to the rest of the shots taken.

Nice, espcially for a rush job! That first is amazing, and I really like the 3rd and 4th too. For me, the 2nd has a bit too much of the flash fill, but I like the effect of the sun behind her. I just wish I could see her eye(s). Nice collection there at the link. Way to go!

How come we say 'It's colder than hell outside' when isn't it realistically always colder than hell since hell is supposed to be fire and brimstone?

For me #2 is superb, love the backlit hair. #4 is also excellent especially the exposure of the face getting some light in the eyes, in which IMO the lighting conditions are difficult. Really like #1, they are all good, inc on your web page. Simon

These look really good! I have a couple of model shoots coming up, I can only hope to do as well! I am personally torn between one and two, I love the natural lighting in one, and the backlit hair in the second image gives it a nice warm feel! Brenda :)

I kinda think they are all outstanding. Some of the different crops used really have impact. Don't be tossing any out, that's for sure. Congrats.

TwoPynts - Thanks for the comments. I went back and forth about having her turn more to the camera or not. Went with this pose as I think it gives her more of a look of contemplation as she is reflecting on her thoughts. I has hoping to get her reflection in the water, but the lake level is down due to lack of rain. cynlee - Thank you, I was pleased, and so was she. There are a few things I would do different, such as using another light or reflector to add a little more life to her eyes. But over all I am happy. Zacko - Thanks, my favorite also. Simon - #2 is my wife's favorite. Thanks! Brenda - Good luck on your shoots! Looking forward to seeing your work! Doug - Thanks! cbender - The last one, has the best lighting for the eyes by far. Thanks!

You really took some fabulous fotos there, randy! These are all excellent! I checked out all your images, and i really love the 3rd one in the 2nd row. and those ones of her on the bench where you see her boots...i really like those too! of the 4 you show here, i'm hard-pressed to pick a fav. i love her eyes in #4, as well as her wind-blown hair and smile. you should be proud!!! :)

I like #1 the best (although I wonder if the long shadow on her nose is flattering or not) because it's the best color (IMO) vibrancy of all. I like the shadow falling across her chest. My wife helps me, so I know what a pain it can be to do a shoot by yourself (AND rushed with time). I think you did very well!

Shelia - Thank you! ChuckEvans - I would have liked to soften the shadows on the first shot, which I think would have helped some. Thanks for the comments.
