Still working out the texture kinks on this one. At least I've solved the problem with the power pack on that data stick. I'll work on improving the lighting next. Feedback would be good. Thank you! :o) Cheers! M

Sorry... I decided to delete the image above and replace it with a slightly improved image sequence. The sidearm is the HASP 220, but the feature here is the datastick computer using the upcoming "Dystopian Displays". Thank you for taking the time to look. Cheers! M

Sci-Fantastic! HASP 220?

Hand Artillery Self-Portable 220. You can read more about this particular weapon here. This weapon is also available for purchase, bundled with Clipsidera, created by ElorOnceDark. Cheers! MMessage edited on: 12/11/2005 08:53

Here are a few more **[Dystopian Displays](http://www.renderosity.com/messages.ez?Form.ShowMessage=2500094) that will be included in the upcoming texture package. Cheers! M**

The HASP 220 is terrific, but I have no use for the Clipsidera package, and $23.00 is a little pricey just to get the hand gun/holster. :O( If you ever sell a weapons pack please let me know.

cyllan ( ) posted Sun, 11 December 2005 at 12:44 PM

I'm rather confused about what the new gear is. The handgun goes with Clipsidera (and although I like it, a new set of scifi stockings and suspenders for Vicki is going to have to wait for a quiet month). I like the little computer, but you are describing the dystopian displays as a texture set... so no little computer in there? Can you clarify what's on the way, so I can give my credit card a cuddle and make it feel warm and loved before telling it the bad news :) Kathy

Thanks for the feedback. Philywebrider I am currently working on a new weapons package and cultivating a new partnership (to help ease the workload on my existing partners). I'll send you an IM when we've got something to show. cyllan The new gear is a series of items, with the data stick being only the first of those items. If there is enough interest in the Dystopian Displays, I might decide to offer up the data stick as a freebie bundled with a couple of simple displays. And then I'll have to start over on new gear. :o) Cheers! M

The Stick display is very cool. I have been very excited by the new idea of electronic paper or liquid crystal celophane. The only thing I am not sure about with your design is that the screen is larger than the housing device in two dimensions. Meaning it has to scroll out from the sides as you pull them apart, then somehow also expand beyond the upper limit of the 'stick' frame, yet it could not be scrolling in two directions? Of course with sufficiently advanced polymers, it may not make a difference. All in all, great work on adding more detail to bring your world to life! Shogakusha

Thanks Moe. A SERIES of items? The credit card is lined up for breakfast in bed until Christmas :)

Ok... based on the comments of shogakusha, I've modified the data stick to have a longer size making it slightly more feasible. While it is a bit thinner, I have also made it longer to accomodate the full height of the screen, with the keyboard section now centered. If I can find one of my partners who can rig this and poserize some dials for it, I would happily offer this data stick gadget for freestuff (including a couple of simple **Dystopian Displays**). Let's hope Ajax isn't too busy to play with this one. :o) Thank you very much for your critical input and suggestions. Cheers! M

I'm not sure if it was here or DAZ where he said he is moving so will be offline for a couple of weeks.

Moebius87 ( ) posted Tue, 13 December 2005 at 10:13 AM

Shooot... I'm off for a couple of weeks too. I'm leaving this Friday, won't be online till next year. I guess I'll only have time to finish the base package of 24 display textures. The data stick freebie will just have to wait till next year. :o( Thanks for the heads-up, PilotHigh. :o) Cheers! M

I'll be finished moving by next Tuesday night (i.e. a week from now) and I've sorted out some internet access too, so Moe, if you can get that gadget to me before you leave, I'll do my best to have it available before xmas. Hey, do we have free stuff hosting on our new site yet?

Cool beans, Ajax. I'll send you the Data Stick mesh this evening when I get home along with a couple of demo screens from the Dystopian Displays package. I'm not sure if we can do freestuff hosting from www.team-dystopia.com yet. I need to speak with caleb68 about that first. In any case, I can host it from my Renderosity locker first, then move it over later. Good luck with your move, Ajax. Thanks! M
