SamTherapy, Maybe I missed the update on how Squeaky the mouse is doing, I hope everything went well at the vet. skee the concerned.

skee, thank you for your concern. Squeaky's appointment was cancelled. :( The vets are accepting "emergency" appointments only. Why this doesn't constitute an emergency is beyond me. FWIW, she appears to be quite happy and only a few minutes ago, was throwing a cardboard tube around in her cage.

I'm glad she's feeling better :) I'd still try and get her into the Vet though, just to be safe.

I don't know much about mice but I know with guinea pigs (which hide their illnesses until it is almost too late), that as long as food and water are both going in and coming out and behavior is "normal" (not too hyper, not too sluggish, not making strange noises or movements, or strange discharge from the nose, mouth, ears, etc.) then it probably is not an emergency. If Squeaky does have any of the above problems, I'd try to convince the vet that it is an emergency. It sounds like she's doing better and I hope she stays that way.

I love animals, and I'm so glad Squeaky seems better! I just watched 3 deer slowly and silently gliding through the snow-covered woods behind my house.
