Hi! What do you think about this Bryce/Poser Animations? Please tell me, what's wrong. I know, something could be better, but I can't see it. I only see a red dragon, after some hours of posing ;) http://www.robokopp.de/Grafik/animation/Dragon/Dragon_1.avi http://www.robokopp.de/Grafik/animation/Dragon/Dragon_2.avi cu&thx Robert

Good sequence. Nice animation. The only possible thing I can see that you may want to adjust is the right "hand" of the dragon (in foreground). Towards the end of the sequence, when it roars a second time, the hand seems to come up and open before sweeping back. This is very static and doesn't seem to flow. Try moving the hand up still open, then close into a fist, and come down again. If you keep that within the second roar sequence, it may help. Look foward to seeing the completed sequence. How long did this one take you?

Hi TygerCub, Yes, the hand. looks like greetings :) I change this. >How long ..? 12 hours for the poses, 1-2 hours for background-avi (only some changes of a existing project from the Bryce-CD) and some time for synchronize the cameras and lights of Bryce and Poser for a correct view. My System crash's today, so the completed sequence will take some time. I also want to make some dragonfire, but first, I must look for a "making of". I think, this will function with a mesh and some special textures or is there a way, to use visible lights in Poser like in Bryce? If you wish, I tell you if the animation is ready. thx Robert

Hi Robert Check out Illusion at the link provided. It makes adding special effects very easy. The program is around $300, but it's well worth the money. As far as your animation..Nice job and yes I agree about the hand needing work. The only thing I see is your dragon's movements don't seem to start at the hip..it's more like the hip is following the body. I get hammered about this every time someone critiques one of my animations. Ed

The right hand wave bugged me too. I didn't see it so much as static, but as out of character, as it seems like it is waving a cute little 'ello' at the same it is snarling. Also,if you can raise the upper lip during the snarl, it would look a bit more 'real'. Many animals with snouts raise their upper lip in an aggressive move to clear their fangs. Otherwise, looks coo!

@ all Thanks for help. I changed a lot of details, like the hand and the hip and include a little MT for the upper lip (good idea and looks beautiful terrible :) ). I would like to show you the changes, but after the systemcrash, I must upload my HP first (40MB with a 33k-connection). I tell you if the completed ani is online. @ Ed - Illusion seems to be a nice tool, but I,m without a job and must pay attention of my money ;-) I mark it for a later time. Thanks to all!!! Robert
