Subject: Problems with London for V3

jt411 ( ) posted Fri, 23 December 2005 at 9:54 PM · edited Mon, 18 November 2024 at 3:59 AM

I just picked up the London character from DAZ. (Gwendolyns Paris Hilton look-alike) When I apply the injection poses to a blank V3 Poser 6 locks up and stops responding. After an eternity I get a message saying that Poser cant locate some inj/delta pz2s. (tthloback for example) I have the Head and Body Morph packages for V3, so whats the problem? I really dont want to fork over MORE money to DAZ. I emailed their customer support, but Id rather not wait until spring to use this character. Any ideas?? Thanks

Do you use Multiple Runtimes? If so, then you should copy the !DAZ library folder to the Poser 6 runtime library folder. Don't move it, just make a copy of it. Other than that, all I can suggest is clearing your cookies and temp internet files and redownloading and trying to reinstall. Also, check to see if there are updates at DAZ. They have an update file area, you might find something in there.

The V3 morphs (body & face) need to be in their default install directory. If you have moved them you need to reinstall them.

I've come across the Runtime issue before, but I don't think that's the problem. The inj poses the character morph is looking for just aren't there. (tthloback for example) Here's a link that lists the teeth/gum V3 morphs. I just don't get it.

Try reinstalling your V3 head morphs again.

I use external runtimes, and here is the path to that file as it is on my computer: C:External RuntimesV3 Character AddonsRuntimeLibraries!DAZVictoria 3HeadDeltasInjDeltas.TthLoBack.p2z

Oddly, on my system, tthloback is an M3 morph, but not a V3 morph. Maybe London works fine without it. To avoid waiting for missing morph every time, save your character back to the library under a different name. Your saved version should load back to a new project with no complaints.

NOTE: I wrote this message before the previous message appeared: either there is an updated version of V3 head morphs, or some additional add-on supplied it? My V3 lists: TthLo- -Crkd, -Depth, -ExCrkd, -Fang, -Height, etc., but NO "TthLoBack" is present.

I have V3 with the head and body morphs and as long as you use the V3SAE version and apply the teeth and gums morphs you will have the TthLoBack morph.

I had a similliar problem. The INJ pose kept looking for something like "rotate up teeth X" inj and it just wasn't there. I think it was M3 morph. So I just opened up notepad and deleted that annoying line from the pose file and then the character worked fine. But perhaps you just need to update Vicky to Vicky3 SAE.

I am sure glad I noticed this thread. Researching the problem, I discovered that when Victoria 3 Service Release 1 was released in 2003, there were also Service Releases for the Head Morphs and Body morphs packs. I've been going all this time without those updates!

Assuming you are a long-time supporter of the Poser community (rather than someone using stolen intellectual property), the problem is easily solved by logging onto your DAZ account, going to your itemized order history, finding the line where you purchased V3 Head Morphs pak, and clicking the RESET button next to it.

Within 30 minutes, you will have permission to re-download the V3 Head Morphs pak. The downloaded version contains the missing morphs.
