Once upon a time when animals could talk with each other, the Elephant and the Crocodile were the best of friends. They would have long talks at waterhole. The Elephant would talk about his time in the forest and the Crocodile would tell about his time in the pool and the scrumptious antelope he found that wandered too close to the pool. One day while they were talking about their day and the Elephant came to the realization and said, "Say, you know, we have nothing in common. Why do we even talk to each other?" And the Crocodile answered, "You, know you're right, we have nothing but this pool in common. At first I felt it would be good to be friends with such a big beast as you because you could pick me up and crush me, but later I found you to be a gentle animal and we became accustomed to each other. I will do you no harm for I know you would do me no harm and that you could beat me to a pulp if I tried." The Elephant then answered, "You are the King of the Water and I the King of the Land, but we still have nothing in common. So I will go my way of the forest you go your way of the water. And when we meet at the pool, we will respect each other." From that day they never talk together again and the they lived happily sharing the pool ever after. Moral: Watch growing so accustom to one another that you fail to see you have nothing in common with each other.
