Subject: M3 bug - can't morph left side limbs

As you can see in the attached image, anything on the left side of the body past the collar and thighs will not morph. I set all three morphs to 9 just to make it extra-obvious, but it happens at any setting. I've just redownloaded and installed my M3 files in an attempt to correct this. I'm using Poser 5, and while I have multiple runtimes all of these files are in the same runtime (named 'p4/runtime'). About a week ago I reformatted my 'C' drive, moved all my Poser files onto a new 160gb drive (labelled 'D'), and reformated the drive they used to be on (formerly 'G' and now 'E'). Anyone ever see anything like this before. I could swear I didn't have this problem before.

Truth has no value without backing by unfounded belief.

There has been an update since about a month after he came out for the body morphs and the M3 figure. You need to redownload both and it should be okay.

I cannot for the life of me solve this problem. I have sr1 cr2 and body morph updates installed. Poser 6, no rsr's in geometry. WTF? -WTB

If you are using multiple runtimes, remember to copy the !DAZ folder to the main runtime. You should do this each time to install an update to a DAZ figure.

I redownloaded the freshest M3 from Daz and installed the latest Body Morph pack and still with the problem. I have 2 runtimes Poser 5 and Poser 6 I use Poser 5 runtime exclusively, and all mike information is there and there only. UUUUGGGG

Did you re-download both the M3 base and body morph pack?

Photopium ( ) posted Thu, 29 December 2005 at 11:57 AM

Yes Let's skirt around a lot of this and just let me ask... Where is the problem? is it in the delta files? Or is it in the Cr2 or is it everywhere? 3-23-04 are the dates of my body morph delta files. The ones that come with Mike3 though are dated 6-11-04 Did I mention Uuuuuug?

It is everywhere. The geometry file was changed a few years ago and it broke the symmetry. It was changed, at most, a month after it was released. Reset your downloads on those two files (body morphs and Michael himself), install them, make sure they are installed in the right place and you should be set.

except I already did that

Ghostofmacbeth ( ) posted Thu, 29 December 2005 at 12:32 PM

Maybe you need to a move of the obj etc to a different folder outside of poser and then do a fresh install? The clean install of those two files should fix it

No Go.

It's the fault of the release version of M3 and the morphs. I really thought DAZ would have put this into the packs by now, or at least put a note on the product pages. You need to download the updates for M3 and the morph packs to get the morphs to work properly. You need Michael 3 Service Release 1, available from the Downloads part of the Support section. Maybe they have incorporated both updates into one pack now, because IIRC, there used to be two required downloads. Give it a shot, anyhow. You have nothing to lose. :)

Actually, I've decided to Hell with Mike 3. I'm going with a scaled up David, he works and looks better anyway. Thanks though. -WTB
