Subject: Seven minutes 22 seconds to switch pages

That's how long it took to switch from page 26 to 27 just minutes ago. The long load times this month is horrific. What used to take me 30 minutes to view all the day's new posts now takes me two to three times as long...and that's skipping quite a number of good artists and renditions just so I can get finished. What's the deal? I've tried switching my vieiwng to different times of the day, but to no avail. This seems to be only a problem in the galleries as when I switched to the Forum link, I was there in less than a second. I may not post any pieces for I do not have the talent many of you do, but I do enjoy all the work here and have been a daily vistor since November 5th, 2004. But this lack of speed, reminiscent of my 1980's Tandy 1000, will not keep me around for long...nor will it keep the artists and the digital arts field either.

'Browsing' the galleries yesterday was simply impossible. Just trying to go to the next page it was just sitting there and eventually timing out. I've never known it this bad, Renderosity is becoming unuseable.

I thought it was just me and my sick hard drive. Some days I can't even spend my money here because I forget what I'm looking for waiting for pages to change.

I'm now getting 'SessSQL: Too many connections'. There are 1908 surfers online. sigh

I rarely have hassles with rendo at all. It may be slow on my dialup of course but I rarely get the sql sessions errors or general timeouts. maybe 3 - 4 times a year at most. touch wood runs as the torch-bearing-pitchfork-waving mob chases the heretic

It was especially bad for me yesterday. I was trying to view the galleries and it was impossible. :(

I haven't been able to get to my Gallery at all, plus all the above.

I'm on dialup as well, and I haven't really had any problems to speak of either.

Well perhaps for those of us on broadband it may well be that our fellow BB'rs on the same UBR are just downloading 24/7 and maxing out their connection and leeching ours as well.Or maybe those of us in the UK are just hitting a bottleneck somewhere between us and the site. The faster we go the slower we get..Well so it seems to me.Just off to see if I may be allowed to possibly buy something.
