They didn't even wait until they were legal in San Francisco, as soon as the mayor said they were going to be allowed to be performed at city hall thousands of ppl flooded the place. Then all of them were declared invalid after some wrangling in court. They haven't given up yet though. California's attorney general on Friday urged the state Supreme Court to decide whether gay marriage is permitted under the state constitution. "Same-sex couples should be given a prompt determination as to whether they can marry, and should not have to put their lives and affairs on hold indefinitely while this matter works its way through several levels of court proceedings," Lockyer said.

I think the founding father and third President said it best, when he said: "The goverenment that governs least, governs best!"

Truly. Jefferson understood the balance of authority and law. Laws are put into effect to protect individuals and groups from unjust activities. Authority should only be put into effect when the population provides or accepts just cause for a purpose.

Even then, as implied, the purpose should be able to be reviewd in order that it impart justice properly - not proptionately or merely popularly - with respect to individuals.

Individual rights are to be held in the highest esteem is the enlightenment way for political reform.

With the latest administration, we see the corruption of this principle under various nomenclatures: homeland security, anti-terrorism, and the ever-present "we are protecting you". Indeed, to protect individual civil-liberties by abridging them is contradictory practice and application.

C makes it easy to shoot yourself in the foot. C++ makes it harder, but when you do, you blow your whole leg off.

I'm not concerned. I heard about this months ago on the news. It applies to the Pornography/Adult entertainment industry. But I would like to see them clarify how exactly one is to provide proof of age for a completely computer generized 3D model. LOL It's not like computer spit out birth certificates when you create pixels.

Attached Link: I wouldn't think it was that hard

It didn't seem to be for Meredith Wilson, why can't others get an ID also? You would think a NVIATWAS would have **something** to trade for a valid ID? It seems like a whole lot of record keeping for nothing to me but if they're wiretapping and keeping records of every conversation looking for alleged terrorists they probably have a lot of people with that kind of time to do it.
