Just a heads up, got my copy of 3D world this morning, it's got some free Daz stuff on it. Millenium Dragon V3 (big deal (thats sarcasm not an indication of it being a good deal) Veronica Year 3 (armour for V3 I think) V3 Hooded Cloak One John.

I am pretty sure that it is the full version. :-) least ways it looks like it at first glance.. You get the textures and poses that change the lenght of the spines etc..

No, it's 74.

The VY3 outfit is by Uzilite/Wusamah so that's a good deal right there.

KarenJ ( ) posted Wed, 04 January 2006 at 3:45 AM

OK that sounds cool. I'll have to pick up a copy from WHSmith... my local newsagent doesn't stock it. Thanks for the heads-up, John.

Thanks, oliveramberq. Gosh, we're 2 issues behind time on my side of the planet; we're still waiting for issue 73 to appear on the newsstands ! The distributors must be using surface mail shipments.

I got a subscription for Christmas, but I don't get the first one till March. : ( But I already have everything but VY3, so I can't complain.

No problem Karen, I know what you mean my local newsagent didn't stock it either, I kept missing issues cos I forgot to go to Smiths. Had a brainwave last year n asked my newsagent to get it for me, doubting he would be able to, but joy of joys :) he now hands it to me at the beginning of each month, what a handy fellow. Take care John.

we're all over the place; sometimes they're 2 months late, sometimes right on time. Heck, I'll have to check tonight. This is the only way I can get Poser stuff without a card..:|

It's worth the price just for Veronica year 3, that's been on my wishlist for a long time! Thanx for the heads up! thefixer, poser coord.

I forgot to mention :) it's also got a fullish version of world builder on it too. Apparantly the only thing that's missing is a plant library, so they could fit it on the disk. John.

Here's a link to Veronica Year Three. This definitely feels a reason to buy the issue, though the back-story on that item seems a little strange. The 3D World website is still showing issue 73, I think it's still a few days short of the official release date. You can order a single issue at your newsagents, I've done it before, but I would be wary of making a special trip.

If you are using XP without winzip installed or an early version of winzip under 98. You might find you can't always extract the contents of the 2 zips which contain some models.

Lynnart.zip and New World Graphics.zip

If this happens copy the .zip to your hard drive, remove read only protection and use a copy of Winrar 3.2 or higher and you can extract the files that way.

Why Future have to use non-standard .zip format is strange, probably created with a apple paperweight.

But it makes me consider that some Daz models on eariler discs, which couldn't be read may have been compressed in this way.

Pinky - you left the lens cap of your mind on again.

There are sometimes problems with zipfiles having some sort of odd file with the same name as a folder, which makes life difficult. I believe that's an Apple-derived feature that affects some Windows stuff.
