Subject: Happy New Year

ReBorne ( ) posted Fri, 06 January 2006 at 12:06 PM · edited Tue, 25 February 2025 at 11:29 AM

Hey Guys! Just wanted to drop in and wish you all a (slightly late) Happy New Year!!! Also, to apologise for the last year when I was a bit of a b@st@rd at times. Thankfully very few of you here know what happened over the year to make me act like that, but hey - that's the past and I'd like to let it stay that way. And to the future? Well, at the moment I'm in Aurora (yup, the one in Colorado!), loving the US and hoping to be here quite some time. Hopefully I should soon be back on track with doing some artwork, and hell, I might even be back here a bit more..... in artistic and nice mode! So, I wanna wish you ALL a great New Year, and hope it brings each and every one of you what you want and a lot more besides! Mikey (",)

How come we say 'It's colder than hell outside' when isn't it realistically always colder than hell since hell is supposed to be fire and brimstone?

And every one said, 'If we only live,
We too will go to sea in a Sieve,---
To the hills of the Chankly Bore!'
Far and few, far and few, Are the lands where the Jumblies live;
Their heads are green, and their hands are blue, And they went to sea in a Sieve.

Hey, thanks for the warm welcome back guys!! Tibby, you have NO idea how close to the truth you are babe ;-) Yes, my heart has been stolen by an American lady... Joe, the good stuff has only followed lots of bad stuff and a damn awful 2005 that nearly saw the end of me.... so the last couple of months have been a MASSIVE turnaround, and YUP I most definately like it :-D And yes, given the chance America is gonna be my new home..... Margana, thanks for the welcome! Glad to hear I've still been talked about....erm, I think..... ;-) Andreas, unfortunately my mentoring days are over in that field.... However, if you wanna learn how to be an International Cassanova......... Take care peeps! (",)

Sheila, if the truth be known I'm a warm beach/lazing by the pool in the sun kinda guy.... I expected cold & snow though the weather here is milder than at home at the moment..... and as for actually liking the mountains, I'm gonna find out pretty soon when my girl takes me up there properly.... Okies, I'll be around! (",)

i ADORE John Denver!!! the very first 45 i ever bought was Denver's "Calypso." looks like i'm dating myself too! :) weird...i've no idea how old you are, Mikey. 20's? 30's? or 40s?

Margana ( ) posted Wed, 11 January 2006 at 2:42 AM

My very first record,a 45,was a birthday gift from my neighbor...his dad owned a record store...that eventually became Sam Goody's...if you ever heard of that... Any way...That record was,'Bread and Butter',by god-knows-who.LOL.But I still have it!And I remember playing it on my suitcase/turntable...You close the lid and it plays... K.Sorry Mikey for hijacking your thread.I don't even know you and I'm already taking advantage,lol.Sooooooooooooooooorry. I'll hush. ;^P

Last summer we got out and had a blast listening them!!! Love the Platters...oh yeah!!! yeah...sorry, Mikey...well you know it's really MY fault for hijacking the thread. marlene mentioned John Denver and i just couldn't help myself!! thanks, Pascale! :)
