Show me something you just had to have, because it would make life easier or be a real novelty...The person at the store said you would love it....and you fell for that. But then you never used it in years . Not ever. Ends up being useless. Guess it is impulse buying. I love buying tools.Usually have to have everything, but this thing....is useless.

I guess it would have to be the Bagpuss alarm clock (maybe have to be in UK to remember him) he was my childhood hero lol, but never used it more than once or twice, still he is cool though honest Quite ironically it was shot at 7:30 am reboot time

doug, now i just don't understand why you find an electric screwdriver useless?? *scratches head* We use ours all the time! you have something bigger 'n better? or you prefer the old fashioned kind? very nice image. :) Carlos, very pretty doll! i'm into stuffed animals! love all kind of them, but really, all they do is sit there & collect dust. what's the point? i find them irrestistible though! :) Simon...i never heard of Bagpuss, but i like this cute little feller! probably the cutest alarm clock i ever saw! nice pictures guys! :)

LOL at the dolls and ragamuffins... Shiela... I like to undo and drive in screws real fast and that thing is sooooooooooo slow. No power either. remember Tim the Tool man....

Yes guys I know the difference between a phillips and a flat and a socket and a spanner :} BTW Doug, excellent shot! I think B&D would love you on their team!!!

A friend of mine gave me this Electric Beverage Warmer for Christmas. She has one and really likes it. I got myself one of these years ago and only used it once or twice before using it as a dust magnet.

Great Simons Douggy! Love the idea! These 'lil fellas of mine are totally useless indeed but I do love them!! I'm a stuffed animals fan (not real ones as u all guessed I'm sure), like Sheila. I was actually thinking of selling them on ebay or something cos we're going to move house AGAIN in a few weeks and I have had enough carrying tones of useless things around. But....they're so cute.....aren't they?! O_o

DJB ( ) posted Sat, 07 January 2006 at 2:19 AM

LOL@ coolj...nothing like posting it out in public where your friend can see what you said. hehe Bet you get a tie next Christmas. Awwww Pascale...not only is it nice to see you around again, but I think stuff like those are keepsakes.Good to have if you get kids coming around to play with.

Great pictures Jeff & Pascale! Jeff, i would never use something like that! i drink my warm beverages WAY too fast for them to get cold! slurp! Pascale, you got some cute ones there! good idea to sell them on ebay. i've had so many stuffed animals in my life as adult, but i've never had a place big enough to keep them around. So i'll buy them, keep them for awhile, and then i just give them away. i'm like you...i HATE carrying useless things around! hope everything goes well with your move! are you moving far away?

tibet2004uk ( ) posted Sat, 07 January 2006 at 1:05 PM

Thx Douggie! :) Good to be back too! :) Still have too much to do right now to spend as much time as I would like to in here since I've been working on my website a lot lately and haven't finished yet. Sheila, we're moving some 160 miles/257kms away from where we live now. So not that far but still a big move! We have so much mess!! Everything's in double or triple! Like 2 large beds, 3 comps, 3 TVs and so on!! Man! And I'm not even talking about the books and DVDs!! O_o So the stuffed animals....dunno...they might have to go this time! :( So happy though!! We're going to the country side at last after one and a half year spent in that shit hole we still live in now. We're looking for a house at the moment and we should move in 2 or 3 weeks I think. Woohoo!!! :D And it will have to do for at least the next 2 years cos I'm sick of moving! 3 times that past year and a half! But hey, at least we don't get bored! O_o LOL!

tvernuccio ( ) posted Sun, 08 January 2006 at 12:27 AM

Pascale...yeah, that's a big move! that'll be great that you'll be able to move to the countryside and live in a much better place!! My gosh...you and Laurent have a LOT of stuff!!!! Wow! THREE TV's?? LOL! we only have one, but we're not taking it with us when we move. yeah...kemal and i are moving too but not until the end of July/1st of Sept. we're sick and tired of Ky. and the cold, icy weather here in the winter. And besides that, we both miss the sea TERRIBLY!!! we still dunno exactly where we're moving, but it'll be near the ocean. Probably Alabama or Florida. they still don't know at work so everyone keep my secret!!! we're gonna transfer from the restaurant here to down there, but we'll probably take a big pay cut, but oh well. anyway, we've already started getting rid of stuff. i'm mailing books to my brother, and we're getting rid of clothes and other stuff we haven't used in awhile. right now i've been really busy researching where we might move to. We have it pretty much narrowed down between three cities, but it takes a lot of time to research those places, try to find an apartment remotely, and stuff like that. anyway, good luck with your move, Pascale!!!! and wish us luck on ours!! oh man moving like 3,000 miles is gonna be a BiT_H!!!! :)

tibet2004uk ( ) posted Sun, 08 January 2006 at 1:01 AM

3000 miles!?? O_o I dunno how much that is in kms but it sounds a hell of a lot to me!!

Margana ( ) posted Sun, 08 January 2006 at 1:11 AM

So you are finally moving Pascalou! That's wonderful!I know how much you have wanted this.Good luck to you, sweetie. And the same to you,Sheila.I'm sure you will love living near the sea. You've often said how much you miss it. Looks like 2006 will see wonderful changes for you both!

That would be about 5000km Pascale..

Miles/kilometers don't really do it for me...I have to think of it in terms of time, which is obviously variable. Maybe it's because of where I live.Manhattan is really kind of close,mile-wise,(about 30 miles),but it could take over an hour to get there.More on a Friday night... I'm just blabbing.Sorry. LOL. I'm glad 2006 is starting out great for you Pascale. Sorry Doug.I can't find anything a salesman talked me into, that I regret purchasing. But I suppose that's good, right?

tvernuccio ( ) posted Sun, 08 January 2006 at 12:21 PM

Pascale...well i'm for sure how many miles we will move but let's put it this way...it's a 9-12 hour drive to the closer areas down south. wanna come help me pack and move when you're done??? :) Marlene, we've been considering moving since we were married 8 1/2 years ago on the beach in Florida. we both just finally decided...what the hell...let's pack up and go!!! :)

Margana ( ) posted Sun, 08 January 2006 at 1:28 PM

You're right Doug!!!I forgot about that little item, lol. But I assure you,no one talked me into buying that!I guess you're really just looking for any useless purchase at this point? Well then it's long overdue Sheila!I say, hey,do it now, while you can. What's the point in staying where you're not happy?Sometimes you have no choice...but if you're not tied to a place, then by all means,go! :^)

Sheila...Why not try the West Coast. You should move to Olympia. :-)

tvernuccio ( ) posted Mon, 09 January 2006 at 12:01 AM

i'm originally from the west coast, Jeff. i was born and raised in San Francisco until i was 4. I've heard Washington and Oregon are nice. hmmmm...well, perhaps i shall put some some cities in the cost of living relocator and see what happens. i'm afraid louisville has spoiled us in that the cost of living is good and they tend to pay us a good wage out here. when i punch in our numbers in the cost of living relocator, it seems all the seaside places are much more expensive to live. i'll check it out though. :) thanks! :)

coolj001 ( ) posted Mon, 09 January 2006 at 12:36 AM

I am sure it's much less expensive here than in San Fransisco. It does rain here quite a bit but that makes for some big trees and lots of cool green stuff. :-)

tvernuccio ( ) posted Mon, 09 January 2006 at 1:57 AM

i went to the cost of living wizard and punched in the the our salary. here's what it said, Jeff: "The cost of living in Olympia, WA is 14.9% higher than in Louisville, KY." they do pay a bit more than they do here...as well they should since the cost of living is higher. it said, "Employers in Olympia, WA typically pay 6.2% more than employers in Louisville, KY." but all in all, Olympia is more more expensive to live. The cost of living wizard said that our income would decrease... a "$3,050 net change in disposable income." YIKES!!! i think Olympia is a no-go, Jeff. great suggestion though! :)

coolj001 ( ) posted Mon, 09 January 2006 at 5:14 AM

The state minimum wage in WA is highest in the country, and it's not very high. That probably explains the pay difference.
