Hi Dear Members, I am using Poser 5 for 2 months. Recently I am making a complex scene with Max, Bryce and figures from Poser. Its named Ramman Metamorphosis. Here i made everything expect that I want to make a deep furrow/depression ion the head extending to the forehead and also a Alein Ear. For the ear i tried morphs, magnets everything but failed. Please tell me how to make the furrow and alien ears . I have made a rough sketch to make the matter lucid to you . Thanks so much..........waiting for your reply....!!

poser is ill-suited to make ears, but max should be a good alternative, unless you use one of the available figures (Daz, RDNA) which already have that ear morph. however, I suggest you delete that image, as some personal data is legible via bleed-through.

One choice is to use 2 magnets for the head, as they are symetrical you have to create one for one side and then create a second one with the same settings for Mag, Base and Zone except the x-value, this should be negative. The same can be done by the ears with at least 2, better 3 or 4 small magnets for each ear. BTW, I don't think that a lot of users here in the forum are able to read Arabic ;)

Jules53757 I am not quite acquainted with Magnets in Poser and just using them . Just can you be a bit more lucid how to apply it on the head for the deep furrow.

What figure are you starting with? Many of them have suitable ear morphs already, usually called "elf" or "alien". You could try combining more than one morph to get the appearance you want. When you apply a magnet to the head, adjust the mag zone so that its x scale is small, and its z scale is large, so that the zone is long and thin. That should concentrate the effect where you want it. Miss Nancy was warning you that we can read what's on the other side of the paper you scanned in you first post. If it's just your shopping list, that's no problem. :)

Hi JULES, Thanks so much Jules, I see a faint light of hope that even I can be a poser artist . Please send the magnet details in a lucid way to amlan70@yahoo.com. I see that you have also pointed the ear to a Alien one . Please also include how you made it ... Waiting for your mail anxiously...... Amlanjyoti Banerjee(amlan70)

For the girl with the sword picture, the background is one of the Woodland Playsets from www.daz3d.com, who are also one of the most significant suppliers of human figures in the Poser market. I don't recognise the actual figure. Most of the DAZ figures have the morphs sold seperately to the main figure. The main figure is sold at low cost, sometimes given away, but then you have to pay. The figures supplied with Poser vary. There are ear morphs with the Poser 5 figures, but not with the Poser 6 figures. If you do have Poser 6 there's a free add-on package from the makers (e-frontier) which supplies the Poser 5 content. The pointed-ear morphs usually use the "elf" label, though there's a style of elf in Japanese art which has a rather different ear-shape.

Traveler has some very good lessons on using magnets. Also a demon morph for the P4 man (maybe you can use the ears).
