Subject: OT- Please, your best wishes for PurpleJelly

Sorry for the OT post and the shameless cry for ehlp. My Good Lady, PurpleJelly, an infrequent poster here, is going through some bad times and we don't know why yet. Early signs are indications of (I kid you not) diabetes or leukeamia. Sorry thing when you wish it's one and not the other, hein? Please, please, remember Claire in your thoughts/prayers. I have a lot of hope, love and good wishes but this is totally off the map. Running out of answers and scared to death.

I'm so sorry to hear that, I pray that the outcome is neither one nor the other! I'll remember you both in my prayers!

:( I was just thinking of her earlier this afternoon too. I remembered that image she posted that looked like glass and was going to look up the post to see how it was done. I'm sorry to hear about her health. I will keep her in my thoughts and send some good energy her way. Shoot me a PM if you need anything.

Really sorry to hear this, Paul. Try not to dwell on worst case scenarios. Sending you both good vibes and best wishes that Claire feels a lot better soon. Hugs to you both.

Further tests indicate pre diabetes or Type 1 diabetes. It appears that both of them show similar symptoms. The best news is that's very unlikely to be leukemia. Thanks for your good wishes; I'll keep you all posted.

I got diagnosed with diabetes just last week and was told that there is no need to panic. Many people live with it, and I'm sure that Purplejelly will be one of them. In my case I knew I had a lifestyle change in the wings, but I'm not thrilled that it's no longer a choice.

Best wishes and prayers for you and PurpleJelly. My wife has recently been diagnosed with a form of leukemia but her Dr. said that the numbers have to go a lot higher yet to worry. She'll just have to see a specialist once per year for now. Her mother had it too and lived to 92. So there are all sorts of different types.

The important thing is not to stop questioning.

Thanks for letting us know, Paul. I'm glad it sounds like the lesser of two evils, so to speak.
