Subject: Does this focus work?

Hi gang!!!!

I could use your opinion on this one. I cant help to think that its poorly focused because of those blurry webs in the front. The question is....does it still work? Or is it too distracting? HELP MEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!! Or not...up to you. I cant very well make ya can i? Can i?

Hmmm....oooh i just realised something. Having a "term" named after me requires that i live up to it doesnt it? So instead of just ending this message after i had asked for help, i now feel compelled to ramble to the best of my ability. Oh God...the stress...the stress you added to my life Kort!!!!! stressed.gif

How come we say 'It's colder than hell outside' when isn't it realistically always colder than hell since hell is supposed to be fire and brimstone?

this image has nice clarity, Andreas. actually, i didn't even notice those blurry webs in the front until you mentioned it. :)your DOF is wonderful here! not sure why those particular webs are blurry. i asked kemal...he said he wonders if they look like that because of the wind. the only thing i find a bit distracting is the upper right hand corner where it's white. could try to reduce the highlights, but probably what i would do is see if i could clone in some of that blue background. Anyway, this one is a BEAUTY!!! those droplets are fabulous!

Thanks Sheila! Ill get right on that then. #:o)

I didn't notice them either...I think the focus is perfect,Andreas. It has a wonderful DOF as Sheila said. And I like the whitish area in the top right, just maybe a bit less of it... The dew drops look gorgeous! You really have a flair for this type of image.I'm really liking that deep and dark red in this compo. It's a very interesting shot...whatever that ugly thing is,you sure made it look beautiful! :^)

Ummmmm no,lol. And obviously you don't either!!! ;^) It means you have achieved something everyone aspires to,or should aspire to...a signature style. If you only did this type of image that would be one thing. But to do different types of images and still be recognizable as the artist...that's truly wonderful, and very difficult to achieve with photography,I think. It's much easier in painting. The artist's hand can't help but show to an extent. But in photography,it's your 'hand' in your postwork, and your 'eye' in your compos and choice of subject matter.Any way, that's what it means. Sigh.I'm S'berging again, lol.I'll shut up now... :^) MAS 4eva and eva indeed!!!

Oh great now you already abbreviated the new term Stidesberging. I still have yet to figure out MAS and now more abbrevs...are coming. Andreas...I take a lot of shots like this and it is hard to get some of the web and drops in perfect focus. I wouldn't play around too much on an already good thing.

MASsterful work. I do like the cloned out white, but perhaps a bit lighter in the top right corner as Marlene suggests would help with the sense of where the light is coming from. I find the DOF perfect for what you captured here. If that web in the foreground had been in focus, then you wouldn't have had the rest of it in focus, so it's a tradoff and perfect as is IMHO. You certainly have your own signature style Andreas, and one you can be proud of. Okay, enough Stridsberging, or S'berging, or SBing. =]

You need to have it linked from a site that has large bandwidth allowances. Everytime the page is loaded it counts as usage. If the allowance gts maxed each day, that will result in little red X's in place. You had a good idea in incorporating it as a collage. But there is many ways to make it happen.
