I am trying to use the particle emitter to create smoke for a dragon. If posssible also fire. But what settings should I use to create a realistic flame and dark smoke? And what particles would I need. In this I am very new. The manual talks about using blurr, bit for the rest it is no very helpful. Any links or help would be welcome.

Check this thread. I was working on some smoke for a cannon. The technique may be useful for you. - Jasen.
