Oh yes Fran, hundreds if not thousands. Here are a few plugin sites to start you off:
Adobe Studio Exchange select "plug-ins"
Image careful, loads of popups.
AutoFx Dreamy Photo plugin.
Nice. More things to visit and probably download, I think my laptop just groaned at me. gg 1 question, that Virtual Photographer above, in the install instructions it says download (or "install" can't remember exactly) TO YOUR DESKTOP. Is it REALLY necessary to plonk it on your desktop? I hate clutter on there. Thanks for the links Quest.

LOLpour some cold water on your puter because this is only a start. ArchDruid is asking for a list so Im sure this is not the end of it. It would also help if you were selective on the plug-in downloads since they all seem like something we might need but in truth you should only download those you really need. They become useful when you find a need for them. Keeping in mind that too many plugins will slow down Photoshop on startup. No harm tho if you plan to store them for future use remembering that as Photoshop continues to evolve, some of these plugins may not be recognized by future versions. Many have withstood the test of time.
But but! Some of them just SOUND so nice! gg Yeah, I do see your point though, tempting thogh it may be to download, just in case when a "PanGalacticGargleBlaster" plugin beckons to me.

I'd like to mention the Redfield Plugins site. There are several free PS plugins which also have use in making textures and heightfield maps for 3D apps. The updated (and free) "Craquelure 3D" is awesome for making useful textures, and the Lattice Composer and Water ripples are fun, free, and useful too.Attached Link: http://www.plugsnpixels.com
Make sense of the hundreds of Photoshop plug-ins here (no registration required): www.plugsnpixels.com See GUI screenshots and examples created with each. There's also a free ezine dedicated to plug-ins and other creative imaging apps. This site uses cookies to deliver the best experience. Our own cookies make user accounts and other features possible. It seems to me that there must be an enormous number of plug-ins for Photoshop/CS2. Maybe we could do a thread listing out the ones we've found most useful?... Lou.
