Subject: Is there a tutorial somewhere...

...that shows how to turn an object into a particle emitter? I'd like to set some Poser figures on fire! :D Alternately, is there a tutorial that can show me how to create a comet or a fireball effect? I have a bunch of transmapped plane objects with fire and fireball effects, but I'd like to see what Carrara is capable of. Thanks!

Honestly, eovia3d.net and eovia.com are great place to go. Also go check the yahoo group there are several people posting tutorials like Andrew.I am betting there will be some good stuff soon...even 3dxtract is bound to have some new stuff.

No need to think outside the box....

Look at the new tute by Thomas at eovia3d.net. Also you can make your object the particle in the emitter. Query the idea of your original object exploding into bits and fading away as the emitter of your object takes over (does that make sense?) I can see a mother spider sort of disolving into a puddle as she gives birth to a million offspring! (Let me know directly if you give it a try in case I miss it in the forum)
