Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Feb 02 7:25 pm)
Hi, thanks, but that wasn't it. I just found a little tick box called Do collision and I think that's fixed it. Love esther PS It's just rendering now - yippee. I think I like dynamic hair.

Even easier is to rerun the hair sim, only have the starting pose with the figure's head turned to the side, then oh say 40 or so frames later, reset it to facing forward. That way over the course of the sim, the hair will start draping off to the side, and fall along the head and neck as it straightens. You -may- have collision issues with the ears; all those tiny polygons can make things messy. If it happens, just start the head in a different position where the hair doesn't fall across the problem area.
Another thing to check is whether or not the actual hair prop is 'wild' or not. Sometimes the construction is such that the tail grows out of a geometry prop, and the prop has the X,Y, & Z rotation and translation controls. In that case you can just rotate the tail itself until it sticks out sideways, then run the sim. Wait until you see what funky effects you get when you start playing with the funny little dials in the hair room.... O:)
I'm too scared to touch the funny little dials. love esther ps i think i can rotate and move the pony PPS these are poser 5 hairs - werethey included in poser 6 - i can't see them there

I'd have to check, but there were some content changes. Oh, and playing with the correct little dials will cause the hair to stand out and up, like if it were underwater. Just to be a brat about it...... ;) And remember, as long as you don't save a hair prop with altered settings back to the library, then any changes you make will go bye-bye when you reload the prop. So experiment!

Hi, I'm a complete hair room newbie, but I tried the poser 5 hair by Hmann in poser 6 today. When I changed the pose and calculated dynamics for the front and the ponytail I could see it looking good, but then I couldn't find the finished hair, it went back to it's original form. Love esther
