No offence, Acadai, but soccer ain't rugby!! ;) For the uninitiated, a rugby ball has a simalr shape to an american football, but lacks the stitching in the centre of the one panel. Also (although my memory is a tad hazy), the ends are slightly rounded off on the rugby ball compared to the football used in NFL and such. oliver... you doing any sort of work related to the upcoming six nations championship, perchance? Or are you working in advance on the next Rugby World Cup? :) jonthecelt
Would it not e possible to use an american football, and apply transparency to the stitching areas? It's been some time since I last saw a football, so I can't remmeber just how different the shapes are... but if the stitching were a separate group, with the ball actually running underneath (which seems to me the easier way of modeling int, rather than actualy creating the stitching bumps in relief from the ball), then there's no reason you couldn't just make them 'disappear' from the render, then apply a rugby-esque texture map on the skin of the ball itself. Just a thought, jonthecelt

I am looking for a Rugby-Ball. It doesn't have to be free. All I found was tons of american footballs but my clients needs a rugby-ball. Any hints? Thanks!
